Error with "more features" on front page. + more

Every time the More Features front page section scrolls across I get a
big distoration on the rest of the page that flashes and could cause a
seisure.
Also I'm an avid forum hopper and ALWAYS use the "Newest Post" button
to see what the most active new posts are to read through.
Those are my 2 complaints..
And the blue is blinding!
