Old SWG guild in search of refugees and others

The Guilded Elite Combat Killing Organization (GECKO) was formed during the early days of Star Wars Galaxies. We  at GECKO like to think of ourselves as a family (Yes I know it’s not real life). Some of us have been gaming together for more than 6 years and we still have 90% of our original SWG family with us today. We were formed on the premise of having a good time and helping each other out and, while a lot of guilds claim the same, we make it happen.

What type of members is GECKO looking for?

What GECKO is looking for is: mature and active players. Let me clarify: We’re looking for cool people to hangout with. We don’t care how old you are, where you’re from, or even if English is your first language. We like to think of ourselves as an "equal opportunity guild" (we don’t discriminate by anything except actions). What we’re not looking for is: whiners, prima donnas, or anything of the sort.
GECKO is geared towards the hardcore gamer, as well as the casual one, and prides itself on everyone being successful in whatever endeavor they partake in (i.e.: crafting or combat).
We prefer to let players in the guild use the referral system. For example: I know this really cool dude Oleris and he needs a guild. We keep our doors open here at GECKO. This is to let the good guys and gals in and send the bad ones packing, if need be. This open-door policy also allows you, the player, the opportunity to check us out. In other words we’re not going to be mad if you join GECKO and in a couple weeks decide we’re not what you’re looking for in a guild.
How can I communicate with other GECKO members?
Besides using our website forums and built-in messaging system to communicate, we also use Teamspeak as a way to communicate easily with one another (besides, I hate typing). It will never be required to have Teamspeak, but my suggestion is to at least get on and listen. Cursing should be held to a minimum or none at all. Now we realize that slippage of the tongue happens but dropping the "F-bomb" all the time isn’t necessary. In other words, respect those that are on teamspeak with you. Some members have children that don’t need to hear our potty mouths (yes, including mine).
We expect to play at launch on a PVP server (one that is set-up like SWG where you can PVP if you want, but it's not expected of you).
