Official MMORPG Beta key winners Update

Hey All,

Today we will send out an email with the beta invitation process to all MMORPG.com Spellborn beta key winners. I will not publish the content of this email here since the content is protected by our NDA policies.

If you, as a winner, haven't received this email within the next 36 hours, please send an email to beta@tcos.com with the subject: "Email request MMORPG.com beta key winner", we will make sure to forward this email to you again. There will probably be some issues with spam filters and we want to make sure all winners receive this update before the weekend.

Please keep in mind that we have a list of winners, so we will cross reference all requests before they are processed. If you are not one of the 250 winners, please don't send us an email claiming a beta key.

We hope that all winners that receive this email will respect our NDA policies and will not publish the content of this email on these or any other boards.

Thanks for the official update!  A projected start date or at least progress towards getting registered and set up is all I think anyone who's been asking about the beta winnings really wanted to have.   It seems some folks are jonesing a bit more than others to play, LOL.

I just want to make sure I understand it correctly

Does this mean we have to wait for all 250 winners to reply to the email before you will processes any one of us or will you be doing it first come first served ?

Hehe... I think that means precisely as it's writen. It's to say, if someone try's Email them and say: "Hey, I didn't get my beta invite", they have a list they will cross reference before they send anything out.

Because, as you know, some people will do and try just about anything.

I got my email and did everything I had to do to get into beta but still no beta and no access to to beta forums

according to this recent update closed beta 2 just ended. Closed beta phase 3 starts in Q1 2007, so I guess the winners will be added to that beta phase.

If it were not for the emails I receive from mmorpg.com about posts on this forum I would have forgotten all about this game.

Kind of sad really because the game sounds different and fresh and I would like to test it out.

But I'm afraid by the time they get around to actually giving us keys I will be committed to so many other things I won't be able to make the most of it.

I'd love to take over for someone. I've been checking up on this game every day in hopes for something new. I was actually selected but didn't respond within 24hrs. Either way if it were possible I'd love a second a second chance... /watches email >.>

I have been checking myself on this game for many months, and registered for the beta a long time ago.



I mostly lost interest after there were a few examples of them lying to the forum users (on their forum, not here) on several issues, and chose the beta testers mostly from winners from several websites (basically, for marketing purposes), while ignoring those who had registered with them way before that (who had to fill a long application form, theoretically to check suitability; which curiously, did not seem to be an issue for price winners)...



Bottom line, I do not know yet if I will like the game or not, but I already know that I am not going to trust the company... liars caught and that sort of thing...

Exactly what lies? I went to get the relevant threads to link them here, but they seem to have been conveniently removed...



Anyway, one of them was when they said that there was nothing going to happens for a while and no, they were not negotiating with any potential distributor yet.... then less than a week later they announced who the official distributor would be...
