Guild History
Gryphus was actually born under the name of Sebastien. He was born in Leth Nurae like most high elves. When he was still a little boy who could barely walk, him and his parents went on a camping trip in the forests afar. While enjoying there camping trip over a nicely cooked dinner done by his mother, smells of ashes started to rise in the air. A furious dragon came out from the woods, killing his parents. Little Sebastien was totaly defenseless when out of the sky came a magnificient griffin. The griffin started to attack the dragon, scaring him away. The griffin, a very intelligent creature, decided to bring the little boy with him, as he saw that he had nothing left for him and wanted to help him. The boy was raised with the griffins, learning how to excel at riding them as well as learning the art of combat against dragons. Losing more and more of the way of the elves, he started to become a cunning warrior, losing most of his elvish looks, except for his pointy ears. He eventually renamed himself Gryphus Keythong, Gryphus being the latin for griffin and Keythong being the name of a legenday griffin. Gryphus always lived in exile with the griffins, until an important person dropped into his life.
Something strange happened, dragons started pushing into the griffins territories for unknown reasons. Having no idea what she would get caught into, a female high elf named Shirdal was in Griffin territory to try and get a glimpse of one of the magnificent creature. Dragons started covering ground and found the unsuspecting Shirdal, but for some reason only took her in there grip and did not kill her. Gryphus and the griffins ready for battle, they flew straight for the dragons to run them out of there territories. As the battle started, Shirdal was dropped into the forest. The battle was long and fierce, many dragons and griffins died, but the griffins eventually ran the dragons off. After the battle, Gryphus and the griffins landed on the ground, tired from the battle, and there he found Shirdal laying on the ground. Both immediately fell in love with each other, but Shirdal had some bad news for Gryphus.
The reason the dragons we're trying to take over the griffin territories was because of the return of undead attacks, in great scale. With his new found love and his curiosity for adventure, Gryphus left the nest with Shirdal and started his journey in Halgarad and together would form the Gryphus society, a group of cunning warriors dedicated to fighting what threatens the world of Telon, lead by a fierce Dragon Slayer.
They Gryphus society is now of great power, controlling many great things in the world of Telon. Gryphus his now married to Shirdal and together, they are building the Gryphus society to even greater power.
What is Gryphus?
Unlike most guilds, Gryphus is a guild full of content. We are not here to simply recruit many members, in fact we are pretty strict on recruitment and prefer quality over numbers. Gryphus is dedicated to be an Elite guild for those who want content, people who want to have fun and people who want to enjoy all aspects of the game. As the name implies, we are based on the legendary creatures known as Griffins of Gryphons. Gryphus is based in Thestra, the world of the griffins, but we accept any race from any continents. For now, we also accept any professions. We are dedicated to stay as a mature guild. Guild Features
- Led by experienced Guild Leaders, City Mayors and Events organisers.
- 9 Specific divisions cover all aspects of the game and more.
- 4 simple ranks, everyone is equal in the guild...except for our Dragon Slayers...
- Expect a lot of activities and events, we love to organize things.
- We use ventrilo 24/7, it is a guild requirement.
- We are a mature guild, we accept only 18+ players, but they must also show maturity.
- Gryphus leads the Gryphus Alliance
- Extensive forums with many details and usefull information as well as private hidden guild sections.
- We have limited members spots, we only accept active members, so you will not be playing with a dead guild. Our leader is on almost everyday all day.
- As soon as possible, we will have a great City and great Guild Hall in Vanguard, those things are very important to us.
- Possibility to move up in Ranks or to Become a Division Leader or Assistant Leader.

For the features above and more. If you are a married couple that plays toghether, you definetely fit with us. If you are a Pre-CU SWG vet, you definetely fit with us and can expect Pre-CU style fun with us as well. If you want to be in a mature guild that is active and actually does things to get members to have more fun. Unlike most guilds, we not just here to get members under one guild, we are here to get members to have fun in an organized guild with much content.
What Server will you Join?
When the server are announced we will quickly announce it. It will most likely be the PvP server, BUT only if the server rulesets do not hinder PvE, as we are not a PvP only guild and we want our members to be able to enjoy all aspects of the game.
If PvP is Faction based, what Faction will the Guild be?
It will be the "Good Side" faction.

- Council Members: 9 Members that share leadership with our Leader
- Members: Our casual Members
- Recruits: Our new Members that are either in training or in trial phase
Guild Divisions
- Dragon Slayers: Our Top Elites, our "Creme de la Creme", very few can become Dragon Slayers, only the best and most dedicated have a chance at it, and it is totally worth it.
- Gryphus Academy: Our training academy. Members who need training will get help from our more experienced players dedicated to just doing that.
- WarFare Division: Quality PvP play.
- Assault Division: Our division for PvE, Raids, Quests, Grind,etc.
- Naval Divison: On the sea with our Nava Fleet.
- Supplies Division: Crafting within the guild.
- Politics Division: Everything that concerns Diplomacy, Cities, Housing...
- Community Division: For RP, lore, events organisation, PR, and more.
- Recruitment Division: Our recruitment team to ensure we recruit only top quality members.
*Much more features and information will be added when Vanguard is launched, as of now we must do with what we know of the game and what we are 100% sure we will be able to give to our members.
