Player moderate the MXO fourms, they are basically like a gang that is allowed to do as they wish. This has been going on forever, if you're friends with them, you can flame, harrass, link to adult sites and do whatever. Just today, Sneaker, aka (mod) serenity posted a thread to flame a player, with screenshots of the players, calling him all kinds of things, SOE failing at customer service again.

Has that thread been deleted or am I too stupid to view it? Because of the six threads I see there (weirdly, out of 8 stated ones), I don't see any that matches your description.
And oh, Sneaker seems to be an ex mod, and the community seems to be informed about it.

And oh... Sneaker posts a thread called "Serenity" - someone reacts and says "lol and ex-mod" in a friendly way, Sneaker doesn't deny. Made me think.
And about SOE's official line: in his first (afaik) live interview, Walrus was asked about what he thought about having player mods (I repeat: player mods), and he said "As long as they are a positive contribution to the thread, which they certainly are, it doesn't matter who they are in real life".
No one denies this fact, not even the producer and community relations manager.
If they are really as bad and biased as you portray them, Walrus was mistaken about the quality of their work. But I don't see any denial.

if Sneaker really violates the forum rules, he's like that cop (nice comparison by the way);

I have heard rumblings of this MOD and the abuse, if it is true or has any bases for investigation it should be looked into.
Why? Because the MODS are suppose to be there to help those who feel there being mistreated on the forums and if that MOD is abusing their power wether its to tell people that a person has reported their thread or just threating to ban or do harm to another on the forum it needs to stop. How can one feel free to report someone if their privacy is violated.?
I personal think having players as MODS is not a good idea, you are bound to have people leak info and pass it along to their faction members which we know has happened recently, and it gives the illusion that they are important when they are not.
I think if a player is to be a MOD they should NOT be in any faction at all. They should be a detached person who plays the game and has no ties to a certain group.
Just my thoughts at the moment.
The Moderators are great and if you think they are treating you unfairly then PM Walrus and he'll check it over, the admins and Mods are a great bunch anyway.

This is some of the more notably ignorant comments posted by Walrus the producer and ex community manager for The Matrix Online. For the player that suggested to contact him for when Player moderaters abuse privy's here is how he reacts behind closed doors. Im glad he refers to us as the native's and likes to play damage control for community insiders who cant seem to behave.
Here are pictures of fellow moderater's and players getting on the said Moderater's case for abusing his privy's to help some of the same faction members that are flaming people here with objective opinions of their game.
