who is writing the checks to keep this puppy afloat? It sure isn't the hundred or so subscribers that are left. I figure they would have turned off the lights and called it a day a while back.

I miss DAoC

There's supposedly a very rich man who owned Dark and Light...I suppose he could still be paying the bills.  I wonder how much money he's lost in this project.

There's also the possibility that Snailgame has taken over.
Also they might have given up and got rid of much of the original team to cut costs and is letting Snail Game to the rest

    Alright I admit

Not only one, several of them. And you know, they still enjoy what is called "reputation" through their other activities. And I bet the people supporting them haven't heard of what their DnL product has really become. You know, it's not always easy to get the right information when you're not a gamer and you don't know such things as forums exist. For instance, I really don't think the C&B billing issue went as far as being heard of in those circles. What I see much on the contrary is that they keep on working on another project which received European funding. Funny isn't it?

So well, I guess they will keep on paying the bills, be it only for that very reputation holding reason. Their general business is at stake.

If they're still waiting for this one to pay off, they definitely have more dollars than sense.

Nah, they are just waiting to see if the Chinese release can save them.
