Open Beta starting for...

Hello all I got this mail from Acclaim and thought some people may be interested

Dear 9Dragons players,

We are pleased to announce the start of pre open beta testing for all players!  During this testing phase, there may still be some significant bugs, errors, and technical issues that leaked out as we patched the game to make it up-to-date.  We could have delayed while we conducted internal testing of the latest patches, but this would only mean that you would wait longer.  So instead, we decided to let you play now and help us look for any potential issues while enjoying the game.

All closed beta characters have been wiped.  With the start of pre open beta testing, all players will be creating new characters and starting from the very beginning.  But after this, there will be no more character wipes! Our official open beta is scheduled for around mid-January when we will be patching in every last bit of content.  But until then, we need you to help us test the game.

As promised, 9Dragons will be free to play for all players, supported by in-game advertising and item purchasing.  Advertising will be done with respect for the player, and we will not delay the gaming experience at all. We were careful to insert ads only in locations where there was already a natural pause in the game.  We realize that this is the only way to make the game both free and enjoyable to our players without being too distracting.

To play 9Dragons, you must first download and install the new open beta client available at http://9dragons.acclaim.com/downloads/9Dgame.htm.

Please report any bugs and issues to the Report a Bug forum on the message boards at http://phpbb.acclaim.com/9dragons/viewforum.php?f=16. Thanks for your patience and help in testing 9Dragons!

Its like a dubbed down Fung Wan Online.

Its a martial art game with... Point and Click movement and combat.  Very disappointing.  Some of the training is a good idea though.

I was in closed beta since it started. Played for a month. It was good at start but then I made a mage class and they have the same 2 spells they chain over and over again. no fun at all. So Nobody will play them. Helaers are no fun eighter. They have gone all out on melee classes so 95% will be playing them. So nobody to nuke or heal in your groups at higher levels..

Game is fun to solo in. With a Melee class.

I only got to level 38 with me Fighter and 51 (Raising Light 1) With my Mage. The game has 100 levels.

It's free to play. So I reccomend checking out the neat combat moves and play for atleast a week. Then you'll get bored :)

It's not bad but not great. Not sure how much fun you'd have in the long run, but I think it's a solid quick fix in between games. One thing I was happy to see is that the translation is pretty well done. It's not a mess of Engrish like most ports end up becoming.

I agree with you lot, it's a bit boring but apparently things get more interesting as you get to high levels, not that I've gone far with the amount of grind, although they have cut down in the grind a teeny bit. Graphics are alright but I don't like the point and click and there is a lot of walking to do from mob areas and town once you get to higher levels but thank god to the quick running skill that lets you run at insane speeds.

played the game to in CB ,well the game has some vrry cool features and stuff

the only thing is their so many skills that u don't realy get the chance to lvl a skill that high :p

there are alot of quests so the grinding isn't that bad ,but it gets boring realy  borring but its cool to see evryone have another fighting style u get to choose from alot of it

the game is worth the download but don't think u'l play it longer then a month

It didn't last longer than 2 weeks on my computer, I didn't like 9Dragons much because something about it made me not like it, it's hard to explain what it is. But for most people this is worth a download and to try it out because it is free!

I really did not like it I mean I like games where the classes vary...99% r melee 0.05%healers*if any* and 0.05% mages >.> not cool haha
