Why do you like this game??

I tried the free trial thing for this game about a year ago now. First of all i had to download that Bittorrent thing, and then i had to wait roughly 6 hours for the flippin thing to download! But once i got into the game, i made a character and everything. It seemed promising for the first 10 minutes, but then i just thought "oh this sucks" because people were talking about oil riots () which was just a load of balls, i could only see the area like 10 yards infront of me so that just got me abit annoyed. I just want to know why you people like the game so much

First of all most of the chanels are OOC (Out of Character) so you could talk about anything. Just ignore odd conversations. Its not always like that, especially in Neutral Newbie OOC. If you can only see 10 yards in front of yourself, did you set your view distance to 100%?

I like this game because of the nice skill system and crafting system. Theres a huge world to explore on both Rubi-Ka and the Shadowlands.

You raise skills depending on your profession. I suggest you visit the official AO forums under "New Arrivals" for help & read the Game Manual. You can also find profession guides on the offical forums.

Hi, I play the game and hate it. The only reason I still play is because I have to wait 4months to reset some skills to be able to wear some implants im trying to put on. Its really fun once you learn how to reset a perk.

Perk reset was never supposed to be something to use to twink into gear. It was put in place just like the IPR's to correct a mistake or 2. Complaining about the short wait between resets is childish.

You play AO but hate it? Since you have perks you also pay to play AO too!

Sounds like a compulsive complainer with no sense of reality.

yeah right thats why we have whole lines that add nothing but abilities, treatment, map navigation, and that they added a button, yes a real button!,  to reset perks.

I dont technically play it anymore but I did for a few years, since I made the mistake to pay long term I might as well continue to log in everyonce in awhile and warn people about what a bad game it is, I clearly state why I hate it unlike certain people which resort to personal attacks since they cannot prove their points, but this is an internet forum so cant say I expected otherwise. That said, im far from being the only one still having an active account hating the game, if you went over to their official forum you would witness that.

    Happy new year

    1. Pretend you hate the game and will quit if you don't get what you want.

    2. If you still don't get what you want, think of something else you'd like and threaten to quit over that.

    3. Wash rinse repeat.

That's what the whole forum game is about. Those people won't quit, since they could play for free if they wanted.

Trying to get a game changed that is already set in concrete will only alienate those who play it, and will kill a community in the process.

I find if you just play the game and ignore the forums, complex games like this are EASY to enjoy.

You generalize too much. This isnt a new game, after a few years people have understood (I hope) they wont get anything changed and the devs arent listening and fixing a long list of issues, sorry but I dont agree with your forums are for threat thing. Ive seen alot of names over the years expressing their disatisfaction with the product and never seen them again, probably living a happy life, playing another game, etc.

This is a mmorpg, its not meant to be set in concrete and is bound to evolve, if it doesnt players wont stick around and eventually be shut down. There will be no more community for "haters to kill" like you propose. Im sorry but people dont kill a game, devs and time do, and with the last expansion I think the devs have announced their colors clearly. In this case, it seems mostly that trolls and unsatisfied customer are the major part of whats left of the community...

If you ever played AO with the expansions, you would never play for free sorry it has no depth whatsoever just grinding over with lesser rewards.
