AA System Requirements

So I won a copy of Auto Assault in the recent MMORPG.com contest, and was checking out the minimum system requirements (in white) compared to my machine (in red):

Minimum System Requirements:

Windows® 2000/XP - XP

1.6ghz+ processor  1.7 ghz

512 MB RAM 768 MB

ATI Radeon 8500 64MB or NVIDIA GeForce 3 64MB series video card GeForce Ti 4600 128MB

As you can see, I meet the minimum requirements, but just barely.  As most gamers know, the minimum requirements will not give you a very good gaming experience. Is it worth even trying it out simply based on technical specs?

I'm not sure I'm even up to paying $14.99 a month to play, but if my box won't play it well, then its a no-brainer.

You should be fine.  Will you be able to set the graphic setting full board with AAx4 - well, no but you can still play.

It's a pretty cool game.  The action is fast paced and non-stop.  very little downtime.  Grouping is needed but only for boss type mobs.  It's one of those games you can do and not really have to think about it.  Just load up, lock and load and lay waste.

Plus since you won you'll get a free month so it's worth the look see.  Good luck and Grats on the win!

One thing tho, I do reccommend upgrading your ram to at least 1 GB. It made a hell of a difference going from 512MB ram to 1 GB.

Some areas are a bit choppy on the framerate, however having at least 1 GB ram should minimise any potential framerate loss.
