An Aussies first impressions of Dungeon Runners:..

I loved Diablo I

I adored Diablo II

When I heard a MMORPG was coming out based on the Diablo series, I had some serious drool to mop up.

I've played Dungeon Runners for about a full day now, and I’d like to share my first impressions (which I’m well aware could change the more i play in the future):

Graphics: very cartoonish, in the vein of World of Warcraft, but not nearly as good.

Style: If you know Diablo I and especially Diablo II, you'll know Dungeon Runners. From the inventory to the mechanics to the play style, this is an amalgamation of the two games.

Voices: The NPC's voices are extreamly childish, aimed to perhaps 13 year olds who love to type n00blar.

Level System: You get 5 stat points to allocate each level, and an option to improve skills or gain new ones later down the road.

Variety: I cannot talk about Dungon Runners world variety just yet, but you do start out with the option of creating a Warrior, Mage or Ranger, Male and Female variants (though I believe this has no impact on the game play) with a few different aesthetic options.

Impressions thus far: A fun game, needs plenty of polish, (that's what us beta testers are here for) however my Warrior spent her first few hours doing alot of dying.  This game has potential, but seems to be filled with a very immature crowd of beta testers thus far.

As I stated, I've only played for about a full day now, and these are only MY first impressions.

I'll give another update after a weeks worth of gameplay to keep you all informed.

Ciao for now,

Ginetti.
