Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!
World of Warcraft will always be considered "Carebear" by users who are more accustomed to a game that has a more widely used World PvP system. If you play a game like UO and stay mostly in the PvP facet you will be surprised how little you are engaged in PvP. Although, in WoW's defense most of the MMORPGs considered "hardcore" are so riddled with bugs and low subscriber levels that comparing their PvP is pretty stupid.
I want a game that PUNCHES YOU IN THE FACE when you die in game, plus melts your motherboard.
Maybe we could get a Motherboard that release bio-weapons, just small dose, to inch real bad and peel the skin a little, not too much? Just have to be carefull so they never get describe as WMD, think of a smaller version! We would need a regulation that make sure peoples play at exactly 2' from their computer to get the desired effect, so maybe we should sell a chair with strapping devices on it while the person play, strapping would be required to boot the CPU. Of course there would be hackers, but who care? We can settle with them out of court!

The only problem I have with the term "carebear", is ignorant people who don't know what it means in reference to an MMO. For those of you who don't seem to understand it, It simply refers to players who prefer not to engage in PvP. That definition being clear, you could call a game "carebear" if it only has consensual PvP, or none at all.
Whether or not the game is designed for 12 year olds, or even whether or not the game's PvP allows for corpse looting, or involves the moronic mechanic of "perma-death", has no bearing on whether or not a game is "carebear".
I personally support real perma-death for any game with open PvP. If you lose, not only is your character deleted, but your account is deleted and banned. The only other option I would support is actual death. When your character dies, you should actually die... that would be fun, right?
You know... some people don't need huge setbacks to have a good time playing a game. I've even heard a rumor that there are people who are capable of having fun, even when it isn't at someone else's expense. I don't believe it, but that's the rumor.
ZeroDepth, I'm pretty sure your signature is a posting violation. If for no other reason than the fact that posting guidelines prohibit advertising. Besides that, its a scam and It bugs me every time I see it on one of your posts

The problem is the definition is not clear. Many have posted on here that it is carebear if it isnt Free for all PVP, and, If you can't loot the corpse its carebear. I am a carebear and I was only making a point, and not doing a very good job.

Other than losing durability when you die, and normal wear and tear, there's no penalty for dieing in WoW.
I don't think it's carebear, but at the same time it could be harsher to add more of a sense of danger and excitement to pvp.
