Question(Need answered)

Hey, me and my friend just quit WoW and we were thinking about a new game. We tried the EQ2 trial and I made a Dark Elf Assassin and he made a lizard lookin guy Berserker we're at the Overlord's Keep or w/e it's called I cant remember. I am wondering what we need to buy to keep playing. Do we need the actual game only? or the actual game and some expansions? Please tell me which ones to buy and not to buy, thanks. We want help cause we really want to keep playing, best game we've played yet.

id buy the retail box of Everquest2: Echos of Faydwer. it contains the main game, and all 3 everquest 2 expansions. i think its only $40 too.

Where could I find this? I looked on the EQ2 website and there was a bunch of things on the store part but didnt know which one was the one. Link?

try gamestop.com or ebgames.com. those sites sell it.

Hmmmm... I found the EQ 2 Classic and Fae but no Retail box.

If you see any retail boxes with the Echoes of Faydwer artwork on them, these include all the expansions to date (Desert of Flames. Kingdom of Sky, and Echoes of Faydwer) and the main game. I've seen several copies on Ebay. The rrp is $40, which is a steal when you consider that anyone who bought the expansions' seperately had to pay for each individually.

The digital downloads available from SoE direct are not the same. For some strange reason, you can only buy them individually as a download (which in this day and age is just plain bonkers!).

My advice, get the retail box. You won't need to buy anything else for the game, apart from the adventure packs (of which The Fallen Dynasty is the only one worth bothering with), and any new expansions post-EoF.
