Okay, I'm thinking about buying a new MMORPG.
I got really bored with EQ's "hack and slash", "camp and loot" play style.
I'm looking at FFXI, but I hear it's mainly the same playing style.
I was also looking at AO, but the graphics didn't look very pleasing.
Is there any MMORPG that has a fun, non-mechanical, possibly role-playable style of play? Preferably with decent graphics.
Any help would be appreciated.

AO graphics are generally better than they present in screens. Might be the way to go if you like sci-fi. Personally I'm waiting (as I'm sure are many others) to see who wins between WoW and EQ2. So far its WoW by release date. We are sort of on the brink of a huge wave of 2nd gen mmorpgs but there isnt really a lot out yet unless you make it into a beta. . .
A fronte precipitium a tergo lupi
EQII
Requiiem, Templar
Neriak
Dark Age of Camelot has good PvP, lots of fun to be had there
wait for World of Warcraft, that will be a good one
Another thing that drew me toward FFXI is the fact that it's relatively new. You can discover things that no one else has, help the world grow, etc.
Whereas in EQ everything had already been done and it was too filled with whiney retards who just want to level and get items to simply do the same thing over and over again.
Like I said, I heard a lot of the same about it. Thanks, though.
