I was wondering if there was even a chance of there being a full PK server in this game. I know it could never come close to the glory of the old UO. But can it even have a sever like Darktide in AC, or Mord in DAoC. Yes im the guy that killed you and stole your stuff in UO. And reveled in my Dread Lord Status. Im the guy that reached level 100 1st and lorded over all the little people on AC/Darktide.Im the guy that had 10 level 50s in DAoC and cut you down from stealth as you made that big pull of mobs. Im the guy that fights wars in High sec space in EVE. Just because your easy prey. In sort. Im everything most of you hate. Im a PK. Thats right a real PK. A Red. A Player killer. I know that I will suffer the usual attacks for even thrying to bring up this subject but thats ok. Iv got thick skin. But is the game world large enough for a "open" full on PK server. Or is there something else in the game mechnics that make it to hard to do, I know that there are few of us that remain but for the ones that do, I can tell you that we would flock to this game if it had such a server. Warhammer is a rich world made for such harsh play. I know the game is fashioned after the table top game and that hurts it IMO. The roleplaying game is far better and would suit my purpose. But it could still work perhaps. At any rate I was just wondering as I know that most of you will have far more info than I. What do you think/know about the possibility. Can it even be done given what is known about the game so far.
PS I know my gammer sucks as well as my spelling. And the fact that it upsets you. Only makes me stronger.
GW seems to be a fairly parent conscious company and will not likely want to appear to be catering to the sociopathic type of customer. it's just not good business.
I believe this is something that could be done, but I don't believe it will be done. Yes there's the argument that DAOC had Mordred and Andred, but DAOC was also Mythic's IP, not someone else's. In order for Mythic to be able to do this they would need GW's approval, and with them wanting to keep to their IP, I don't see it being a possibility.
Full PK could be enabled for Chaos, maybe just on some servers.
GW would most certainly laugh and said that Chaos could definitely work as PK on some servers, if not all of them.

If the chaos faction was khorne then duelling would be fine, chaos on chaos only really happens between the factions. What people don't realise about chaos is that its not quite as barbaric as you would assume (both Orcs and Dark elves are worse. both kill simply for the pleasure. Chaos kill for their gods, sure some may enjoy it (khorne and slaanesh more than tzeentch or nurgle) but they do not simply murder their own (again unlike Orcs and D. Elves)).
If PK'ing could be squeezed in it would either be due to the introduction of another chaos faction (Khorne or Nurgle, there is no way in hell slannesh will make it into a teen rated game ), or between Orcs (they don't really need an excuse), or finally amongst the dark elves (specifically the night where Witch elves run about murdering and stealing children).
Honestly though, it shouldn't go in. Without it people will be FAR more willing to PvP, which is what this game is about, rather than staying in safe zones. And ask yourself this, would you rather do RvR knowing the whole of your race is fighting with you? or would you rather add to your problems when griefers form cross realm guilds and hit you from both sides?
All PKers been on 1 or 2 servers improve the gaming experience of everyone else...and of the PKers themselves, as if they PK, they will get a favorable reaction even if it is harsh.
Actually, from their own comments this isn't what the PKers really want - they want easy gank targets and the ability to cause an unfavorable reaction. This is the biggest problem with a "PK-only" server, they want to beat up 'blues' but the whole server will be 'reds'. It's very different than making servers for groups that don't want victims; you'd be happy with a game with no-raid servers, because you don't need raiders in your game to enjoy it.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I can name 4 ppl (myself included) that want to be able to PK whenever we want to, because it's more immersive for us. That's pretty much it. If someone pisses us off on our own side of the racewar, we wanna be able to take them out. If someone mob steals, we want to be able to take them out. We are SOOOO effing tired of dealing with bratty teenagers and antisocials in other games, and WE want to be the ones policing them. Old MUD style.

In fact IIRC, you got negative frags for killing on your own side of the racewar, so you were penalized. The OP is just a very bored dousche.

I can feel your anger. And I like it. Funny how myself and others like me can make so many peeps so upset. When all we are talking about it a game. Thats right set down the cool aid.....and slowly back away. From what I can tell after all these years its never "what" im doing that makes peeps mad. Not really. Its the fact that I dont live in there...Cant we all.....Just get along mentality . And im laughing at there political correctness. Because at whatever level the game sets as max. I will still be at the top of the food chain. Able to kill them as easy as I can all those lowbies everyone seems so concerned about.
