And the fact that it didn't even work when you tried it, pretty much says it all.
Please state where i said i didnt work? If you read the post more carefully i said i used it and it worked. And as i said before, before i used it i checked everything to make sure its real and not a keylogger or anything else highly harmful.

Lord Z - Thankyou, it worked fine for me. I made sure I ran it from a second machine I have that I can wipe if needs be and which I know has no personal files on (Just to be safe) although it looked legit to me. I'm happily patching Vanguard now :)

I never said yours didn't work, the poster above you did, don't ASSume I'm just talking about you. The program that you use to link up isn't the biggest problem bud(though it is a problem to be concerned of), it's when you connect to that IP that shit could start spinning, auto scripts start bouncing, tracing your IP and information to connect to another day. Stop thinking inside the box, here's a knife now cut yourself out of that box.

You may think you are alright but trust me even a day is enough time to snab everything they need. That's still a week to grab information if they wanted to, you mean to tell me you never used your credit card online and you play mmorpgs?

before i do go to bed, just got this email

    Dear Non-U.S./Canadian Subscriber,

We thank you for your interest in the Vanguard: Saga of Heroes beta program on FilePlanet.

Unfortunately, between the pre-promotion of the program and its launch this evening, we had to restrict access to U.S./Canadian residents only.  However, since you signed up before the restriction, we're going to set aside some keys and make sure you get one.

We apologize for the wait, but we will do our best to get you a key within the next couple of days.  Your patience is greatly appreciated.

In the meantime, make sure you download the Vanguard beta client here: http://www.fileplanet.com/172201/170000/fileinfo/

Thanks again, and we hope you enjoy the program,

    -The FilePlanet Team

So everyone else just be patient! :)

What an absolute farse. I wouldn't have minded if we were TOLD somewhere that only US residents would be eligable for beta signup before I spent the 5 dollars registering on Fileplanet.

I don't really want to use a proxy as it sounds a wee bit dodgy, I'm just hoping they start to allow non US residents to play after the initial beta release.

    To all non-US MMORPGers:

The European beta does not begin until 08 Jan 2007...please see the news item on MMORPG.com...hence, no cause for alarm...patience is a virtue :)

    Zorr....

Ahh, that's not too bad then. I can wait that long, it was just a bit alarming when I woke up this morning to find I couldn't register. :( It's actually quite useful, as I won't be able to play until the 8th anyway as I'm going away this weekend :D

Just to allay people's fears and concerns about using cc's online.

When signing up for new games or shopping online just check that the connection is a https://  and not a http://.

IP Proxies do not use the same port as a https:// connection so they cannot mine your details.
