what are spens for ?

i have been wondering what is spens for. I heard some other player said it worth 20k. Is it real ?

    you use them to enhance your weapon +1, +2, +3 and so forth. You can also sell them to other players for money or sell them to npcs for 25,000 each.

    It is real indeed. Costs 25G to sell them... you can get them off from night beetles and lizards. Got about 5 of them so far... hehe

    But the tuffer the mob the more thay seem to drop. Only 2 here so far. If you look at the info pop up for an item you'll see a ring or two most I have seen is 3.. and that is where thay go.. a blacksmith will help add them to your wepons..so he said hehe.. but I have not tried it yet.
