Live Events the way of the future?

It seems that there are plenty of threads in every mmo's forum that the end game content of said game just isn't up to par. It doesn't seem like raiding is what the average gamer wants from their end game content. Would we all rather have live events?

I liek Live events, they seem more personal, I guess.  In SWG most of them are player organized with dev help.
