Finally some dead bodies and body parts on the ground.



Animations aren't good and Funcom knows it after watching this trailer. 



The camera angles were circling, very quick, and barely showed more than a single swing in combat.



Clever camera work, but to me it just shows that their animations are sub par.  The running animations are bad enough.



As always the scenery looks extremely realistic and absolutely amazing, but they need to get the animations fixed.



On several of the larger models in the scene where all of the (what I'm guessing are) 'bad guys' are running, there's a lot of hands going through eachother and stuff that I would have thought would have been cleaned up by now.



Overall I think this is just more proof for me that the release date will be backed up at least once more.



Scenery again is breathtakingly beautiful.  Hopefully all that needs to be done for the animations is some touch-up work.



EDIT: Just wanted to mention that if you pause it during that big fight scene, it's a huge rehash of the same models over and over and it looks as if the graphics have been turned way down.  Probably why they don't show anything except sweeping angles and very short clips.  Reminds me of action movies with bad choreography that keep the camera really close so you can't see the big picture of what's going on.

Awesome video. The scenery looks amazing, the player models look nice and I think the animations are just fine. My hope is that it's the gameplay that is polished and now that the release date is back to May of 07, I think that FC may be serious about this.

erm... may 07? unless this is old footage i dont think its going to be ready, i thought the WAR trailer looked a bit unpolished, and thats not out for another year...



ill probably get AoC anyhow, but unless it plays much better than it looks i doubt ill stick it out.

 It's already in Alpha beta, and FunCom said they're hoping for March-May of '07 for release.

I think the key word there is "hoping". None the less I too am hoping for it soon.

There are faster mirrors for the video being offered by bymitra (here) and Krypteia (here).  If you haven't seen this yet, watch it!  This is the most in game footage we've been given yet in high-definition.



And keep in mind, the video is of the DX9 version.  The DX10 version looks even better from reports coming in from CES.

I've seen a DX10 screenshot from Flight Simulator, and that water looks the same as in the CES movie, so that is rendered in DX10 then right? or is it seriously a DX9 version? if that's true it's gonna be hellalot better!



I'm gonna stick with this game anyway

This video is really DX9.  Here's the quote from Silirrion, the Funcom Community Manager:



"Note this is still using the DX9 engine for the game. The first DX10 versions were only finished just in time for the CES showings so it will probably be a little while before you see videos and official images from that. Our video team haven't gotten their hands on the DX10 version yet It was literally ready to roll immediately before the show so there aren't any official images produced yet. They will come though "
