Imaginary Friends

So, this has been bugging me.

I suppose that I am one of the few who did NOT have imaginary friends in my early childhood.. although sometimes I wish that I had, instead of real ones who only brought trouble.

But I'd like if anyone who had imaginary friends to FESS UP! haha.

I didn't have imaginary friends as much as imaginary worlds. I tend to just space out and pretend I'm in another place altogether. Good way to get ideas for stories.

I have an imaginary guardian thingy.

I kinda discovered her when I started daydreaming, and had recently read something on having a personal guide. It may have influenced my daydreaming, but I certainly discovered Lillith on my own

Shes a skinny thing. Really tall, about 6 feet. Long dark hair. Big eyes. Peaceful eyes. Never speaks, only gives brief mental glimpes of what she's trying to communicate. Wears white.

    I think she's imaginary.

    Duely noted.

Lillith sounds beautiful.. something to see instead of some of the cold commodities of this world.

Nice to hear from someone who doesn't think I'm insane  I never really talk about her, because I think I'm starting to actually believe in her. Rreka'al at least doesn't think I'm crazy

I never had "imaginary friends". But I played pretend a lot, which is where all of my creativity originally came from. I used to have a pedal trike that I'd go around this big front porch we had, and act like I was racing. And of course I always had situations and stories for when I played with my action figures.

I can't remember my imaginary friends name as child, although I know I had one.

Since then I have had many imaginary girlfriends.

These days my imaginary friends live inside my computer and have names like WarriorOWNZ. They talk to me.

You spam. You're toxic to topics. People stop posting in topics because of YOU. Your topics contribute NOTHING to the board, and your posts contribute nothing to the board. I have yet to see you make ONE quality post.
Yes, I'm a bitch. I know it. And guess what? You pissed off the bitch.
DON'T piss off the bitch anymore, k?

Heh, well, I hope you know this little bit of information. I don't mean to ruin Vampiress's imaginary friend, but Lillith, according to the bible, was Adams first wife. Adam left Lillith for Eve and Lillith died and was cursed and now she supposidly goes around and kills babies.

Just to add, I'm jewish and I don't read the bible :-)

    Creepy.

Thats because that isn't in the bible. Its in the book of.... enoch, I believe. It was a book removed from the bible during the clean-up for a universal bible, I think. They took out a lot of books to make the bible smaller, and more believable. If I'm remembering correctly, Lillith went on to marry satan, and the book of enoch also included some really weird lookin angels that brought death and destruction. Actually, most of Evangalieon was based on the book of enoch. Pretty cool stuff

But, by your logic, you could also argue that my name would mean that I am pure of heart, and innocent in every way. Which is crap

But, yes, very cool tidbit about the name Lillith.

If the bible is the word of god, why did they take out books? Links to papers about this anyone?

I simulate situatoins in my head and i realize if they occured i would have acted like a retard, so now i'm more prepared for those situations that i've simulated already in my head.

I don't have imaginary friends but I like making weird noises for no apparant reason.

When I have a hard time sleeping, I imagine myself in a small spaceship as an explorer, my cockpit is full of lights and screens.  I am traveling 100 times the speed of light, my destination?............Scouting for new worlds.  I am alone, I hear the soft purring of my ship and an occasional distant explosion.  The universe is vast.........I am alone, knowing all that I had is gone due to Einstein Theory of Relativity.  My imaginary friend is solitude.   Next stop..........a new world.          I fall asleep.

sadly,no imaginary freinds, but I do agree with the imaginary worlds.I had a couple and I'm sure that many writers had those too

My mind has changed so much. Yet I'm still acting like I'm the same.

Thinking about it, maybe I did sort of had an imaginary friend... He was called Buddha, of course I knew hardly anything about my own religion as a child... Anyways, I would think of Buddha helping me out in certain situations like dealing with pain... The result is, it becomes more endurable and easier... In a way it's faith... but really what it really is is OPTIMISM... I figured that out as I grew up, so now that's what I do, train my mind and have faith in myself/abilities... So I can deal with stuff like not feeling pain or having excess energy... ( yes, when you train your mind, apparently you gain more energy too, maybe it also has to deal with chemical stuff being produced in your body as a result too though, because I feel something trickling down my spine as I do that with my mind)

Sorry for ressurrecting a thread on page three, but I was temp banned for flaming :P I totally deserved it, but ya

The bible wasn't really the bible for many, many years. Just books, written on scrolls. Someone finally put them all together, and within a few hundred years, the catholic church ending up taking books out that seemed too far-fetched, or they didn't believe in (I'm pretty sure, anyways) People with power tend to tinker with things like that. Take out things they don't want, alter it to say what they want. Other removed books of the bible are avalible, but you have to purchase them seperately, and most probably not at a christian book store.

Sorry I'm being so vague, but I haven't read up on this topic for Years. Recently its been art and cleaning and classes for me.
