Lineage2 - OB TOPIC

Well I managed to reach lvl 25 as a human wizard in this game, and I must say that the experiance was very fun overall. With the new prelude patch that just came out, OB is just around the corner.
As most of you know, there is going to be a wipe from CB to OB. So I decided to quit for the time being until OB starts. I tried to login after the patch update (3 hours long to download on cable 
) to see some of the new features. Let me tell you, there is ALOT of content in this game!
This week is labeled "CHAOS WEEK" in the world of Lineage 2. Basically its a big free for all since the wipe is aproaching. There is also supposedly some neat events going to be hosted by the GM's. What they might be is beyond my knowledge.
I think they may have some problems with us NA players though considering the chaos that was the "QUEEN RAID." I couldnt believe how un organized it was. I was one of those who just gave up listening to the GMs and ran to the hive in a blind rage toward the queen. Once about 100 arrived, some dork attacked the Queen without the GM's command.... lets just say a whole lotta pain came are way. Bodys upon bodys were littered around the cave as gaurd ants swarmed over them killing whatever its eyes gazzed upon next. I was actually full of fear when being revived as I knew I would just be smacked to the ground withen seconds and then my death would be followed by a looter from afar coming to steal what I had dropped. Half the poeple were looters 
.
Anyways, it all came down to this. We failed... and we failed hard. The korean beta testers may now point and laugh while calling us dumbasses in their language. Dont get me wrong, I had a blast and so did everyone else. It was not considerd a loss. I thought of it as a really big picnic with really big ants that attacked us and pretty much stomped on are picnic then stole are food.
If the open beta accounts will not be destroyed when p2p arrives, then I will probably play in the OB alot. If they are, then I MIGHT log in on the rare occasion to see whats new. RYL will probably consume my gaming time 
.
How about you guys? Will you be playing if the OB is going to be wiped?
I was thinking of starting a clan and would like to invite anyone here who is intrested. As for the clans purpose... I would just like to have fun and be apart of all the events while attending castle sieges when possible. Helping pledge members do quests and buy items is also another vital intrest of mine. Whatever the outcome is of are clan.... one is for sure. WE WILL BE FEARED.

If OB gets wiped i wont play until release. If they don't say if they wipe or not i wont play after eaching level 10.
This is no beta. They only translate and do minor balancing and don't react to bug reports at all.
That's the reason why they shouldn't wipe. I never had a problem with getting wiped in the various betas i played but thios time it seems to be a free trial and no beta at all.

Good news everyone!!!
I just checked my emails and found that Lineage2 sent me some news for a change. It seems that they will not be wiping from OB to p2p
!!! Open Beta starts on march 28.... so be there or be square!!! First one to level 40 recieves band new computer system or something fancy like that. Alot of other cool prizes can be won as the beta spans for about 2 months as said in the news letter.
It mentioned that the top 10 clans will all have some really nice prizes that start at 200$ gift certificates for every member. I know I will prob not be one of the top players since some people are crazy and play all day every day. But I am just happy they wont be wiping

I personally think they might not wipe too since they didn't in Korea. I think in TW OB they didn't wipe chars being over level 20.
If there's any statement in your mail proofing that there is no wipe please quote it here.
28th March sounds good since they said OB is by the end of March or early April.
4 more days and we can play again! (Well can play now but it's getting wiped anyways.
EDIT: I just checked L2 forums and lots of ppl got that mail! WITH the confirmation that there is no wipe! THANK YOU NCSOFT!!! OMG!!!

On the L2 site it states all this info about the open beta and that you need to sign up which I did quite awhile back with there ncsoft site. Now when I try to login to the L2 site it can't find me and on the NCsoft site I have to activate games with a cd key which I presume is linked to the other site.
My question being usually open beta means anyone and there brother but somehow this does not seem to be the case here can anyone clarify with legit info plz? Do we have to pre order still and have a beta key to even do open beta? That makes no sense and they should call it something else imho!

No you will not be required to pre-order to be in the Open Beta.
When Open Beta starts I would guess you just head to their homepage and make an account. The 28th of March pacific time Open Beta starts.

I know I'm not going to win any of those great prizes myself as I don't spend all of my free time playing games. But I would like to get a clan going so that we can have a better chance for some of those gift certificates. I know I can easily make the lvl 20 draw, and most of you will.
I don't want to be clan leader though because I cant sacrifice my skill points on clan needs. Im more of a loyal member looking for a clan to join. My friend will be joining me whenever I play, so he will want a spot as well.
We are both going human mage to start with and I will eventually branch off to prophet as he wishes to become either a sorcerer or necromancer. Buffs anyone?
