thats good :). Play whatever game you enjoy, it doesnt matter what people say. Myself, I was a bit skeptical of Vanguard at first, and I still am a bit, but i'm also very interested after hearing that you can be a Dilpomat without having to gring monsters. The whole "diplomats can effect the morale of a city" thing really piques my interest. I'll definitely try it when the Open Beta goes public.

Somewhat difficult without any keys going around :p

At least if hes from europe, the 10.000 keys they gave out were gone within minutes, maybe an hour or two at max.

I actually know a few people who got several and sold them through ebay :(

Don't hold your breath, it's not that good.  Very disappointing in fact.  Beta issues aside, its all been done before and very boring like EQ2.  Still waiting on "THE" game to come out...

    to each their own, enjoy....

    Ahhhh Well...

I am skeptical too.  I was expecting something completely diferent than what I got.  I am adjusting, but I do not know if I will come around completely and play for years too come.  I guess time will only tell.

I was also taken by the bad hype. Even got the key from eurogamer and pondered if to do the hugamonguous download or not.

But on the end i was glad that i did.

I tried the beta , and made my mind to buy it.

    I like it

man i have been around along time and played every beta i could get my hand on, first one exactly 10 years ago next month.

this game is better than most, yes you might need a 'better than mommys hewlet packard' to play it, but you dont need a super computer. they are upgrading servers on a daily basis, and after todays stresstest im pretty impressed. they packed alot of people on that server for sure.

where it goes now is the big question, and noone knows that yet. so i might as well play it and hope, what else am i going to do?
go play wow? that ship has sailed and its a game of the past. resub to another old game of mine? why so i can zzzz while i wait for another new game? wait on lotro? well after the month it takes to endgame then what. when another game comes out i will try it, but for now this is what we have and its not a bad game at all to start off with. so i have time to invest here, and hope they keep up the kind of work they have been doing the last few weeks.

Why are you counting?  Don't be frustrated if a number of players don't like the game.  There are really many things that needs improvement.  We'll too many i guess...

Aye there are many things that need improvement, luckily its still in beta and the devs are working thier arses off making those improvements. I've beta tested many MMOs and have never seen a team working as hard as the folks at Sigil. Patches are coming daily, even some as late as 1AM. They are working around the clock to ensure Vanguard is as good as it can be at launch time.

It will have problems, no MMO has ever launched without problems. EQ, SWG, EQ2, EVE, WoW all had major issues at launch. Hell I quit WoW after 10 months because they just could not fix the server side lag.

As some others have posted here, some are going to love Vanguard, some are going to hate it. If you hate it, post about it and move on, you arent going to make me hate it and I wont try to make you love it.

    Right

It might not be THE game everyone is waiting for

But it is THE game of the moment ,

So what you gonna do "haters" ? Play WOW for another year? Play sp games for another year?

    What ?

Probably Gulid Wars, City of Villains AND WoW until the betas for Warhammer and Huxley come along. Vanguard is just boring, not to mention broken. They can't even handle 4000 players, let alone any number of retail players. Launching on the 30th of Jan is a joke.
