Help me find a new MMO :(

Well, I am done with WoW, it lost it's appeal. I tried a free trial of EQ but I didn't enjoy that either. And now Vangaurd comes out, but my shaders aren't on par with theirs! I would love some help in choosing a new MMO for me to play. One that has good, lasting gameplay with an overall great community.

I'm ready to move on from wow too. I'm trying the 14 day free trial of EVE the game looks good. There's allot to learn before you can just get out and do your thing which I don't like that much but it's def a quality game. Although once I get the hang of the user interface and all the indepth play of EVE I feel I still would rather have the slice and dice eye candy of my toon grinding through mobs or other players.

I'm thinking about Guild Wars from what I was told the expansions are pretty much stand alone games of GW . The graphics look way better than WoW, celebrated holidays, looks like awesome PvP etc.. Best of all despite buying expansions that could make the up front cost rather expensive there is no monthly fee.

I was also considering vanguard but with Sony behind it I just don't know. They are known for not only charging a monthly fee but for adding a crap load of expansions and extentions for additional fees and like eq, eq2, swg etc.. these expansions don't stand alone.

Age of Conan looks interesting too but that's going to be some time before it' goes live.

I did recently try 9dragons in beta and that was awful.

IMO, the only games out that are worth trying are Ryzom and EVE. Alternatively you could wait for what comes out in the coming months. Vanguard if Sigil sorts its performance issues out, and Age of Conan which believe it or not could be quite good.
