Anywhere i can download this game and expensions and whatever else i may need without having to use fileplanet? because fileplanet is the worst service in the world and i will not download from there, ever.

AFAIK is AC1 only downloadable from fileplanet. But Fileplanet is much better as you will believe: steady and stable fast download.

Yeah what's wrong with FilePlanet? I could see if they FORCED you to pay to download but they don't. You can sign up for free and they don't spam you or anything.

If you are that against it. I would suggest heading over to ACVault (http://acvault.ign.com/) - they are the most active AC1 boards - and ask if anyone has uploaded it to there own server. Or maybe try some file sharing service (I don't know what's popular now) and search on there to download off of someone else.

The problem with fileplanet is that to download something for free you have to queue up for normally hours if you want to download anything. and i always seem to get timed out or something and have never yet been able to get anything from them.

No i think you will find it is fileplanets fault for having such stupid long queues. there are many other places i can download things from where i do not have to queue.

If a company wants to get as many people playing the game as possible then they should host their own download which has no queue and a high download rate.

Yes, gods I HATES FILEPLANET!

Its worth the wait tho. And noone has to EVER buy the Dark Majesty Expansion pack again. When Turbine bought AC1 from Microsoft, they gave it to all existing accounts which did not have the expansion pack. (every client already had the files downloaded for expansion areas, it was just that you needed the pac to unlock it) And now I believe you just buy a CD key and you get everything from 1 download.

If you have never had an account, you will need to buy the download game and receive a cd key and one month free.
