I would like to see somthing other than another Si-Fi or Medieval Fantasy offering. CoH and a couple historical concepts are out there, but it is overwhelmingly fantasy in online gaming.
Developers should poll this site for original game concepts.
I would like to see a game based on the Old West or the days of prohbition and the early days of the Mafia.
Ample room in both concepts for PvP, clans (tribes, ranch outfits or Mafia families), crafting (blcksmiths or bootlegers) and robust player driven economies (ranching and mining to distilling and extortion).
Come on... get creative!

Why don't you create a poll with some ideas to choose from and see what the readers think?

Sometimes I wonder where developers and publishers spend there time on researching ideas and seeing what the general public might like but isn't out there yet. I'm sure there are a lot of niche markets that haven't been filled yet and if someone did enough research, they'll be able to find them. GarageGames.com was aware of the lack of games for the Mac community and seems to be trying to fill it. It's not smart to follow in the same footsteps as others and create the same basic game for the same niche of followers, but a lot of the MMORPG developers are doing this. Break out some.
