For anyone thinking about playing this game, consider your friends, family, and any social life you might have. This is the most addictive game I've ever played and I'm going to warn you now that if you dare start up this game you will most likely become hooked. In fact, I'm giving this game a new name, I'm going to call it Voyage Crack.
YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

The graphics are quite good but get a hell of a lot of lag while venturing around large cities or pupulated areas. The sea going part is tops, I love guiding my ship out of a busy harbour and off into the sunrise.... awesome...
I'll report back once I've played a little more and tried a few of the other charaters out.....

VC is certainly addictive. It's quite an enjoyable experience, and yes there certainly are some lag issues in Athens - at least on the Magellan server. Crafting and resource gathering is probably not as interactive as some other MMORPGs out there and many traditionalists will likely not like the resource gathering or land combat for that matter. WASD movement is also sadly missing. I understand the right click to move is somewhat the standard in Asian games, but lack of WASD is certainly noticeable.
Content is pretty good, though hard to find unless you know where to look. Their translations from Chinese to English were horrid at first but are becoming increasingly more clear or at least relatively intelligible - trust me, it's improving.
There does appear to be some fatal bugs that the devs are slow to respond to (http://www.voyagecenturyonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8307)
That's a bug that is causing connection errors to the update severs and the devs appear unable to solve the problem.
Overall though, if you can connect, it is a fun time.
