most people might think that this game is easy to level in. It is not.
the level cap is 218. you can get to RC3 (about lvl 40) within a week, but after that levleing slows down drastically. the level 70s-80s get around .03% a kill.
another useless thread? Sorry, but i dont think this is useless. First of all, i wasn't complaining. I'm quite happy with .03% per kill. This game is nothing compared to the grind of Lineage2 pre-c1, along with some others.
Now, my thread actually contained useful info that some people will read and think about. Yours? It was merely an ignorant response, with no valid point.
And last but not least, take your accusations elsewhere. I have been here for years, and yet my post count is still in single digits. If one retard has a post count of 24 mindless posts, and someone else has useful posts, why does the retard decide to flame?

Dont worry ive hit the same stupidity wall in my thread about the subject, theses people have mental limitations which dont allow them to see reality. They are just sinking into denial with personal attacks. Some research have shown that up to 3% of the population is affected by some form of mental retardation, which has different levels. The inability to think logically is one, and its becoming obvious the mmorpg genre is becoming infested by those people. Hopefully its just temporary and will fade when they grow up.
The best we can do is post here and let our voices be heard, I still have faith in my fellow gamers and I know most of them will see what we mean once they log in. If I saved someone 15hours of wasted time playing this game in the 5mins it took to write this, then that will have made my day.
I know what your talking about, as it has become more and more obvious over the years of online gaming that i haev partaken in. But while you might not like this game, personally i have been sucked into it. I know there will be nothing for me in the end, but I am awaiting Vanguard's release, and this game beats WoW:BC by far.
But the only class I'd recommend is a nuke, as all the others are a boring grind fest. And besides, i dont mind wasting my time playing an unimportant game. In the end, every game we have played will be a waste of time, unless of course you find a game that will keep you and thousands of other people interested until death.
Also, each game is a learning experience in its own, but thats just too much to get into.

I did get sucked into it for the first hours as well but of all the lvling ive experienced this was the most boring I came across, I too like learning and being a noob to a game but in this case there wasnt enough to justify the grinding I had to face. You generally get a good idea of what a game is about after 10-20hours playtime. And yes theres better and more fun ways to do with time than spend it on boring unimportant games, im having more fun at work than grinding those kung fu clowns.

Ok, so you consider useful telling us that as you level higher you experience gained is lowered? Who plays MMO's doesn't know that? as for Flame I merely pointed out that there are 5 other threads that state the same point you were making therefore making it useless because you haven't said anything people don't already know. But, if this was a guide to how much % of exp you gain per level please go into more detail. You stated above from 70-80's "you" gain .03%, correct? A guide would tell me how much I gain at let say Level 1-80.

Hmm.... where should I start, personal attacks? read my post and read his reply, where are the personal attacks? But thanks for the medical lesson, doc. Are you sure it took you 5 mins to write that or to look up that bit of info you gave us?
Poornstar is just trying to act righteous and mentally superior again after his own attack on the game and it's players, I don't view Azorith's as an outright attack like Poor's was, maybe lacking in depth, but not an attack. Azorith you may want to keep in mind that the forums are being flooded with outright attacks on every asian game that comes out so people are going to be defensive. It doesn't mean they're lacking in brains, it's just a reaction to every empty headed post complaining about "grinding" and graphics pouring out from the console clowns that have infected this online community. A bit of reading of these and a neutral look at your own and I'm sure you can see how your own post can be viewed as possibly looking like the former. Poor's comments here are just to fan the flames and reinforce his own false sense of superiority.
Alright, but i was far from complaining about a grind.
and to niteblade, if i wanted to make a guide, i would have stated that in the topic. not once did i say the word guide in my OP, so where did you get that idea?
No game should be too easy to level up in, if it is it's just not worth playing. Any game that isn't a challenge on some level just gets boring, to me. I know the game can be difficult once you start getting into the Rising Light stage but if a game doesn't, at some point, make me curse, it's just too easy.
I've seen games where everyone makes max level, gets all the same max gear, and walk around yapping like they did something special, isn't it a lot more satisfying when you do get to that point but not everyone else has?
Online games are designed differently from your typical console games. With console games they want you to buy a new one every payday, so they make them short and easy to finish. Some may take a week, even the "best" may only take a month, after that ok you may have the game to play with for the rest of your console's life but what purpose other than to do it even faster?
Online games are made to last, hopefully to keep you entertained for five years or so, a well designed and expandable one for ten, or better. If you can burn through the game in less than a year what's to keep you there? Without a good running time there will be no real community built up around the game, something I, unfortunately, see less and less of over the years.
By keeping leveling down to a minimum you keep a goal for your players, a reason to want to log on and tough it out for that next level or rank.
Don't get me wrong, there are issues that I see with this and many other games, ones I never see posted in all the complaints (again I don't view this string as one of those, just as a comment) The real issues lie with things like storage (too little) translation (someone who understands both the real life story behind some of the aspects of the game and the language it's being translated into (English in this case) and can help translate a bit better), word wrap instead of letter wrap (not in this particular case but in some other games, it's very annoying), Fan site info (not the company's fault but there is, as of yet, very little facts about items etc translated into English or many other fan languages), and my personal peeve, the filter, which filters so many silly words that very few sentences can be said without provoking this annoyance (at 49 years of age I don't need my mouth washed out with soap by some blind bit of software that won't even let you say the word Class or afk).
Aside from these few typical annoyances I genuinely like this game, I like most of the fight animations (ok some go a wee bit over the top). The artwork is well done (for PC graphics) Quests (I was told by someone who plays the untranslated that there are many more quests not yet in this version, and no they're not all kill 200 of X monster, some you do have to kill a number but no where near what's been posted in other strings). I haven't tried the guild system yet (Hero Bands) so I can't comment on those aspects. PvP is also both in controlled environment (arena) and open area (Bloody Plain) so both aspects of that style can be enjoyed while avoiding the usual "camp outside of newbietown and slaughter everyone who tries to leave" that keeps some players from coming back to some games (read as dead newbies). There's also a great system for creating a variety of archetypes in each class (6 class types with 4 subclasses each).
Overall I think this game is better for more mature players, who want a decent environment and a good challenge that will last. People who are just looking for some fast power leveling should pick an easier game. This doesn't mean that the game should be just for adults either, I've met many great kids while playing who want that challenge just as much, and actually acted better than some of the adults I've run into.
