Imo, WoW is a good casual action adventure game, but it's far from being a great mmorpg, it's not even an rpg...RPG stands for Role Playing Game, and races, and the player base don't leave any space for RPGers, when someone tries to role play, the first thing u see pop up is: ''Go on an RP server''...But this is an RPG, so how come I can't RP on any server?
I honestly don't know if someone that tries to roleplay on a non-roleplaying server, when it's obvious that anyone remotely interested in RP would be one of many RP servers, and laments the lack of interest should be trusted with access to the Internet.
I'm interested in RP, however I'm not on a RP server. Why? Because my friends aren't on a RP server, plain and simple. I was in an EQ guild that was *dedicated* to RP, on a non-RP server. When people from that guild were going to try WoW, an effort was made to get them all on the same RP server, but it failed due to some going to servers that friends had selected, or whichever server Blizzard recommended.
Don't assume that people who like to RP will ONLY be attracted to RP servers. Inversely, people who don't like to RP go to RP servers too. Mostly to grief RP'ers, but also because they don't know any better and have no idea what the term 'RP' means.
