Question on selling things

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
Anyone know how selling stuff will be handled? I have seen exchange brokers in big cities, but dont know yet how they are supposed to work. Do you sell stuff through them, through your house like in EQ2, or you have to own a merchant like i read a while back?
