Hi guys

I was bored at work and basically stumbled upon this site. Just wanted to say HI and that I am a huge EQ fan. My friend and I came back to the game a year ago and we have had a blast. The feel isn't the same as it used to be but there are differences that make the game better (in my opinion) than it used to be.

1. Less people. Less people mean less ass-hats hehe. The people that are left are typically veteran players and it is easier to get things accomplished when you dont have to argue with a kid about the good/bad of twinking.

2. New zones. Alot of people complain about navigating through zones. I on the other hand find that it givese a sort of realizm feel to the game. Plus the n00b area is pretty nice. It helped my son learn about questing and I didn't have to twink him hehe. (always a plus)

3. Character customization. This aspect has always been in the game but I had forgotten it. (due to WoW) 5000 AAs compared to WoW's 40 upgrade points lol...there is almost NO chance that you will run into anyone just like you. (gearwise and ability wise)

4. Endless content. You can do just about ANYTHING you want. Again this was always in the game but it sunk in after playing DDO. There is never a time when I am bored. This may be due to the fact that my friend and son are always on when i am.

I dont want anyone to think im bashing the other games mentioned because I am not. They were both fun games in thier own respect but there is just not enough to them. When SOE destroyed my beloved SWG (which WAS my favorite game of all time) I had to research what would pass the gaming time away. Tried many free games as well. Unfortunately none of the games I tried could match the feeling of individuality that EQ instills. In short I do agree that EQ might not be for the new player but for an old vet like me nothing could nor can still compete with EQ on any level. Thanks and hope to post again.
