what to do in VO

Among all the activities out there the base operations are Mining, trading, botting, pvp, pirating, supporting the war effort, and then theres the whole rp aspect that people venture in and out of. most characters can be " turned on or off" while some are always on and then theres the few who just lurk around and try to spam 100 with mundane things but those people are few and far between. the best aspect here of rp is that while you have a character it is solely up to you the player to determine all the characteristics behind said persona. also if you grow tired of all the single player aspects theres always guilds to join that will help you on the way to becoming great. even if you just want to earn a rep then branch off you can and most times there will be no hurt feelings.

Just wonderinbg how this differs from Eve Online?

It differs from eve because eve is a point and click game while Vendetta Online is a twitch based combat game (with graphics I think are better than eve's repetitive ones). Twitch based means that you have to dive, duck, roll, strafe, etc in a fight in order to win instead of just having the highest levels like in eve.  VO is also cheaper than eve online.

Hmm... I may have to look at this game after all then.. After falling off the Vanguard bandwagon after being with them since Beta 2, I am now looking for something to replace it with.

What I appreciate about VO is how truly open the game is. While still keeping things fair, it allows users to explore some pretty out of the box goals. For example, one of the projects I'm currently working on is gathering data about positions of the different wormholes, so that I can make a scripted macro that will bring you from one end of the galaxy to other with the press of a button. Since there's a degree of randomness involved with jumps this can be challenging.

I played VO during Beta and 2 yrs after that, I enjoyed the play and the community, I still have an account but suspended it due to lack of funds, I highly recommend it to every one.
