I mean I just came from the Vanguard and DDO boards those guys rarely post anything. Do the game suck that bad that no one wants to do anything with the game or the boards?
I find that the majority of the posts dont require a remark or comment b/c to be honest its all rhetoric. Its bashing this, worshipping this, you suck, wow sucks, vanguard blows, your and iodiot, blah blah blah blah balh. So instead of stooping to the the level of some who just seem to troll and "stir the pot" if you will I jut read and laugh only posting when I actually think the post deserves my response, b/c I have better things to do

Why are you posting a comment/question about Vanguard and Dungeons & Dragons Online in the LOTRO forum?
With regard to LOTRO, it is still in "closed" BETA and the NDA is very much, still in effect.

Vanguard 'aient dead yet. At least give it a couple months after it's released, you hater. Personally I could see it going either way. Not WoW big, but then, WoW broke all the records - it's a giant exception in terms of the kind of popularity MMORPGs usually get.
As for LOTRO, it's under a non-disclosure agreement, you're going to have to cope with that.
(You do know LOTRO's being made by the same development company that did DDO, don't ya?)
Vanguard is still in beta and boards have at least 1 or 2 new responses everyday (although they are similar to the last post), but DDO hardly posts any topics. LotR seems to be in the same state, which means people are having low expectations of the game?

About DDO I do not know.
But Vanguard is in open beta with NDA lifted, while LotRo is still in closed beta with NDA active. Know the difference!
These are not the official boards for any games, Vanguard and DDO included. (Of course...Vanguard isn't having their own boards, did I read? Smart). I think people look here for a general overall discussion of mmorpgs, and they can ask all in one place what players think of a particular games. I've seen great discussions about what mmorpgs can and should be. It is a good place to get an idea of how the company treats its customers. This is an amazing gathering place of people who have played a ton of online games and who have a saavy you won't find anywhere else.
It is also a place where you can speak more freely than you can on official boards, just in case you're a bit disgruntled. And, oddly both the Vanguard and LOTRO forums seem highly populated with strong personalities who try to squash any opposing viewpoints. Here, the strong personalities just belly up to the bar and have at it, but with much more respect, usually, than you can find elsewhere.

In the game world it seems as if it better to have low expectations and exceed expectations at launch rather than a lot of hype and a lot of disappointed fanboys at release. Walk softly and carry a big stick as a wise man once said. We will find out soon exactly how large of a stick LoTRO is carrying. The game site previews, such as this one

are promising though. Open beta and release will tell the tale though.
