From what I have seen it will be a buyers market so I doubt you have much to worry about on that issue.

    I miss DAoC

Lovers and haters are generally agreeing on this so let's get the message out.
I'm even a bit more jaded than this.  Give it 6 months to a year for added content plus promised features.

    Same here.

There is absolutely no reason to buy this game at launch, at least for me.

If it's viable after six months to a year, and they've finally put in all of the features they've promised, then I might download any free trial they have by then before I buy it.

After having been burned too many times by MMO's that promise the world and don't deliver, and by fanboys who take any small step of change as a miracle patch, I've learned my lesson. I won't buy an MMO based on potential anymore. Either it's polished and playable the moment I install it and set up my subscription, or I don't bother until I know it's in better shape.

But, right now, I can't see myself getting the game.  Even in a couple months.  Until they put a hell of a lot more polish on this game, added all the features they originally promised, and made sure there is enough content for each continent, I'm not going to even look at Vanguard.  It just doesn't seem plausible that they'll get all this done in a couple months.  Maybe 6, I don't know.

I've suffered through buggy launches before, but I don't have the patience for it anymore.  You can blame WoW (or even CoX) for that.  Plus, I won't pay and/or stay based on the promises of MMO Devs anymore.  Either show me the content, or come talk to me when you finally put it in.  I'm not paying for your Beta test anymore.

I know that sounded harsh, but I've become /very jaded/ when it comes to MMOs lately.  I'm sure I'm not the only one out there.
I'll probably pick it up, but just because EQ2 is kinda boring atm.  I've only played it for a couple months but its not for me.  I like the concept of Eve, but after a couple hours a week I get this strange need to wield a weapon.
