Armorsmith wannabe looking for a guild

AllotropeAllotrope Member Posts: 25

I have been in the beta and will be in the preorder start.  I would rather work on tradeskills (armorsmithing esp) rather than adventure. I did get  up to lvl 10 and specialized in Armorsmithing in the beta - then I ran into problems with the quests to advance further. Specifically I had to take time out to level up harvesting (mining) and adventuring (to have any ability to survive harvesting).

What all that means to me is that I am looking for a mature guild that wants dedicated tradeskillers and is willing to help out with resources needed for advancement. (Yes the work order system is good for most advancement, but Sigil did throw in a few quest requirements that will require either outside help - or massive time investments to level harvesting/adventuring). In return for guild support, I'm willing to dedicate a certain amount of time to making stuff for the guild/guild members.(just give me the mats and a little money for utilities).

I'll be able to play between 10-20 hours per week.

Any interested guilds out there?  give me a holler.

Interested in supporting crafters, but full up on Armorsmiths? talk to me about what you are looking for

PS: I'm in Central time zone, and for those times when I'll be adventuring, I'll be running a cleric.

www.anakir.com  - OUR SERVER WILL BE GULGRETHOR

We are a fairly mature guild.  Lot of 20-40 even some older people.  We love to group and have fun together.  We have open recruitment right now.  If you wish we have a rather unformal application just to tell us about yourself on our site.  Until you fill out the application you can not see a lot of our forums.  We are rather active.

here is a brief history of our guild:

Anakir Nobilis is a casual friends and family guild. We value our casual play style and our mature interaction. But more importantly we respect and care about the friends we have become and continue to make.

Rikana was formed in Star Wars Galaxies in 2003 by a Jedi named Rothin and later grew to be much more. In 2004, a couple of members of Rikana, Rothin, Drakem, and Guld, decided to start up a guild in Everquest 2. A few more SWG Rikana members joined them in EQ2 and the guild began to flourish and grow there. In 2005, the Rikana Guild expanded yet again into the WOW universe.

The Starwars Galaxies chapter ran into some tough times in 2005 after a revamp of the game drove many players away. Rothin made the decision to disband the guild in Star Wars Galaxies due to a lack of active members. The Everquest 2 division of Rikana flourished during this time and grew to be one of the largest casual guilds on the Kithicor Server. Rothin, the original founder of the Rikana, had left EQ2 soon after the guild's formation and the remaining leaders developed a council structure and leadership method that was all it's own. In 2005, Rothin brought the Rikana to the WOW universe and the third chapter of the guild began.

In 2005, Rothin approached Orick, an EQ2 and SWG council member, about merging the two Rikana guilds into one gaming community. EQ2 and WOW members agreed and the two guilds became one. However, Rothin had always run his guilds under a single leader with advisors method. While, in his absence the EQ2 council had taken on a more democratic leadership style. The differences in leadership became problematic for the two guild councils and, after much effort on all parts to compromise, the difficult decision was made to once again separate the 2 guilds. The WOW Rikana is still active in WOW today but we are considered two different guilds since the seperation.

Today, the EQ2 Rikana is still one of the largest casual guilds on our EQ2 server. Our members are an incredible group of people who have made our guild a great success. We hope to bring the guild into other games that our members decide to play and to keep the friends we have made here in EQ2. As a promise and show of respect to Rothin, the Rikana founder, we agreed to not use the Rikana name in other games as it was his creation and should be available to him if he so chooses. So with that in mind the members of the Rikana have chosen a new name to carry forward with them, Anakir Nobilis.

Anakir Nobilis is devoted to making this a multigaming communtiy where friends and family can come together and have a good time while still acting semi-mature. We do believe in the voice of our members and that will always rule in our game councils decisions.

I just posted a recruitment thread for Age of Judgement and we seem to be what you are looking for.

Right now I and another dedicated crafter are artificers (we pre-ordered) so we need armorsmiths. And yes integration and mutual support of all types are going to be important in Vanguard. I also think we will have to pace ourselves as these bugs and balancing issues gets worked on during the next few months.

I also happen to be in the central time zone but we also have dedicated European players.

Well, I have joined a relatively small guild, but I am based in Leth Nurae on Florendyl. We have heard rumours that it is possible to do group crafting. If so, I would not mind hanging out around the forge with any of your blacksmithing types to see how well that works out. (I did hear some shouts that group harvesting was working very well, so I have hopes...)

Feel free to give me a shout in-game. I just started the lvl 10 (amateur/) quests and I may have to level up mining to do it. My character name is Haephestus.

OK, I will look you up.

By the way Haephestus is a great name for smithing. I see you know your  Greek mythology ;).
