But yet stargate is planning to allow different factions for players to align with, STO is Federation only......
/Agree they both will deliver a nail in the coffin to SWG subscriptions, unless with a release date of late 2008-09 SWG will have long since sunk.
SWTOR. Face it, in the Scooby Doo Mystery Solving Van of coolness, this game is Velma. In this current MMO climate it has about as much chance for survival as a group of inquisitive teenagers in a 1980s slasher flick. -Tardcore May, 2011

I do get the feeling though that many people are just playing it until a better sci-fi MMO comes along.
Just imagine what STO will do to this game, so long as they do a decent job on it.
Don't rule out Stargate worlds either....
Both have large fan basses.
Both have ground combat elements.
