LINEAGE II FAST DOWNLOAD (2 Links, Try 1st one first)

The Lineage II site only has a very slow download link (it'll take 3 days on my 10mbps connection) so I went to see if the movie trailers were slow too. Turned out they were fast as hell (I'm getting 5.6 mbps off right now). So I looked at the download link, and went into my FTP client, and then found a folder with the game inside of it. So basically, the link that's not listed on the site can be found on the "sites" FTP server not the one they have listed.

Once again, this is direct from there site, not the game download server 99% of the people are using.

PS: I have a second download location http://63.110.21.106/USFullversion-20031223.zip but due to tremendous hammering of the server you may get an error. Just keep trying and eventually you'll get a download slot.. I recommend you use a download manager such as Star Downloader incase the server cuts your connection abruptly.

and that problem part was cap FU then lower case LL so FUll/L2PreludeSetup.exe a 1107.12MB d/l or about 78 hrs on 56k.

Me too. Nice work, looks like I'm gonna get the client in less than an hour. Now if only they'd send the damn email lol.

Thanks for the post!  I'm downloading it now.  I had gotten all the way to 320 mb before they took down the west coast server last night...tried the east coast server and it kept timing out on me all night and most of today.

I really hope this download is more stable.  I'll update my post if I meet with success.

**UPDATE**

When I downloaded from the webpage it was godawful slow for me (6KB/s) so I thought I would see if my SmartFTP would be better to use.  Turns out it was!  I just copied the FTP info provided from the first poster and pasted into my address box in SmartFTP (free to download off Downloads.com).  By using SmartFTP, my download rate is currently averaging around 160KB/s).  I have another 5% to download and then I can finally install the client. 

I just hope I will be able to login without any problems, heh.

It worked for me fine it was around 30~36 minutes. BTW, it seems the speeds are only about 40KB/sec now.... I guess everyone here at mmorpg.com and the other forums I posted on must have slowed the site down by passing it onto friends. Oh' well heh.

Well unfortunatly for myself, I fell asleep while watching a movie last night and woke up today to find that the beta has been released. So now I signed up, but no e-mail so I think they are not accepting applications anymore even though they don't say anything about it. Others have said this on the L2 forums on the game's site.

Hopefully they will accept me, because this game looks a lot cooler then RYL, where I got 2 beta accounts (1 from signing up on there site) and 1 from winning on here. heh

I DL'd the game 2 days ago because I expected something like this to happen. 

But it really doesn't matter even if you get the game because then it has to check the games servers again to make sure you have every file which will take forever now.  And then once you get past that point, you've got a 3% chance of  logging in.  There's only 3 servers, and while it was only supposed to be the North-American open beta, the entire world is allowed in it appears.

So really, you can get it, but you'll probably never be able to play it much.

I got another link for the Lineage II US Client. Please remember the servers are being hammered, so it's likely you'll get an error. You just have to keep trying to download the client, and eventually you'll get a slot. I recommend you use a download manager such as Star Downloader since it's possible your download might end abruptly.

Tzale, thanks so much for all the info. Im getting 112kb/sec with that link and star downloader. Star downloader is a great program, I recommend it to everyone.
