That may be true, but I wasn't talking about nature. I was talking about species. And if thats true then the earth should be well balanced. But then theres the fact that along with us is nature. That means we're both poluting. And when our race is wiped and global warming takes affect, the earths over time will fix this and new sprecies will come.

My mind has changed so much. Yet I'm still acting like I'm the same.

Here let me point you in the right direction. I've been debating this topic long before any of you kids were born.

With who have you debated with? With teens in WOW forums?

Estimated CO2 pollution caused by all volcanos annually is 145-255 million tons, human activities release CO2 about 24 billion tons every year. For your reading pleasure, human activities release CO2 150 times more than all the volcanoes in the world.

Volcanic eruptions (if big enough) can change the weather globally, but heres the thing, they dont make it warmer or add to the greenhouse effect, they make the world cooler because of small particles that stay in the atmosphere for years and block the sunlight.

As for your first line, "Here is the thing, nature pollutes more then the human race does.",  while its true to some degree, its a  moot point because without all those natural gases (released by nature) we would burn because of sunlight during the day and freeze to death during the night.

    Feel free to answer.

Paade has got it right; the human race does extremely more damage than nature. Of course nature is still apart of it, but there's not much we can do about volcanoes. Knowing the problem and solving the problem are two major things. What we should be discussing is how do we solve this problem that pretty much the whole human race faces?

The obvious answer is to up the tax on fossil fuel usage (to a ridiculous extent)and use that revenue to research and develop clean alternatives.

This won't happen while the magnates are involved in backdoor shenanigans with our politicians, which we seem unable to prevent.

    So it's game over imo.

History shows about revolution are fascinating.Hope I get to see an early one on what sort of conditions it takes for our current society to grow some grey matter,or nads..that's an interesting side topic actually. Is revolution always too late for most ppl and only happens after catastrophe strikes?

That's what they're doing over here. It works to a good extent. And the taxes can be lowered if the oil prices get too high, so the consumer won't feel it.

They're doing it most everywhere, just not to the point where the consumer >will feel it badly<,which is what's needed(and what won't happen)

people who say global warming is stupid and we should not be afraid of it are nuts... downright stupid.

If you were standing in the middle of the road and a car is fast approaching and you dont know whether it will stop or not.. what are you gonna do? Step aside to make SURE that the driver of the car is not a lunatic... or stand as where you are and face the risk of getting hit by it because you are so full of confidence that even if the car hits you you will survive?

Its better for us to do something about global warming and assume its there, because if it is really there and once the effects sets in its already too late to go back. Of course, the poster is a dumb idiot I think, Carbon Dioxide levels are  really high nowadays, we all know why mars is hot even though its further away from the sun don't we?

And if the poster is an American, then shame on you more because americans are the worst gas guzzlers in the world accounting for a massive amount of CO2 emissions, heck they even refuse to sign up to the treaty of aiming on reducing emissions.

What a dumb idiot.. taking risks  as big as this is really showing what a lunatic you are

New Rule: Democrats have to claim their rightful place as the party of environmental protection. Now...for way too long, Republicans have been getting away with rolling their eyes when anyone mentions the planet. You know, as if it's "Smurf Forest" we're talking about instead of the one and only place we can survive!

As despicable as this administration's record on the environment is, it never was their issue. But Al Gore made a living in the Senate talking about the environment. He makes a living talking about it now. It's just when he was running for president that he shut up. And that's why Democrats keep losing. They don't stand up for what they believe in, yes, like "girly-men", from making the counter-argument.

"How can we explain climate change in a 30-second campaign ad?" Oh, I don't know. How about this: "The Republicans want your children to die." There, I did it with 28 seconds left. Is that scaring us? Well, somebody ought to.

How come the Republicans can pick seemingly bogus, random issues like activist judges and boys kissing, and Mexicans pouring over our borders, and get everyone all worked up about it, and the Democrats can't figure out how to demagogue Armageddon?

Hey...you know what else is pouring over our borders? Greenland. You know, Republicans do a lot of things badly, like plan wars and balance budgets and...dance. But they sure understand that the winner in an election is the one who scares the most crap out of the voters. "Gay marriage!" "Terror alerts!" "The war on Christmas!" How long before Janet Jackson's tit strikes again?! And it's a lot bigger now.

But the environment is real. You can smell it. In parts of Houston, you can grab hunks of it with your hands and use it to lube your car! And if there is a single face you might want to use to personify this evil: the retiring and handsomely-compensated chairman of Exxon Mobil, Lee "Fat Bastard" Raymond.

If Lee looks like he's been eating the earth, he has. Even worse, his company has been paying for fake science to confuse people into thinking global warming was still too iffy to act on. You know, if the Democrats can't make this prick into their Willy Horton, they are so pathetic, they might as well go ahead and nominate for president that nice blonde lady who married Bill Clinton. You'll thank me in a year.

Ladies and gentlemen, I literally fear for my kids' future, and I don't even have kids. Glacier National Park in Montana, you know, named for its glaciers, had 150 glaciers when they opened. It's got 26 left today. If we don't take care of places like Montana, we're going to faced with an even bigger problem: gay married men with absolutely no place to go fishing.

why are you so worried about gw. It will happen and theres nothing we can do.

Also,I'm democratic, but you can't  point at everything and say it's republicans falt. The people who are worried about it do harmful things everyday to it. And it isn't just America in it either.

It's not Bush's fault. It's the fault of the global economy. Simple as that.

    Don't panic

Nobody panic!  It's only a myth.

Seriously.  This can't be good for us.

Who runs the economy? Politicians? (lol)

    Who finances the politicians? Industrialists

Our economy is not run by the governments. That's the problem.

Who lets them both get away with it?

    Dear GW

    Hi,I'm Johnny Punchclock.

I sure do hope that you guys are going down with us if the shit hits the fan.

    Dear Johnny

If it hits the fan I can assure you we have a contigency plan to accomodate all 6 billion of you...

The vast majority of the people who say man-made global warming is fake don't know what they're saying some of you guys do and you have really convincing arguements.  The problem with the original post's idea of this being a government conspiracy is that Bush and his administration get TONS of support from the Oil Industry, which is exactly why they ignore the facts.

Also it's true the Earth has gone through countless extreme climate changes, but has been able to adapt because humans weren't here destroying its resources. The difference this time is that its not a natural climate change WE are causing it and the Earth is rejecting it.  For all of you who don't believe it I'll come to your house and laugh at you when it's 103 degrees F in winter.

The president of the United States has an absolutely minimal affect on the economy of our country...talk to Congress, but even congress should be involved as little as possible in our economy.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
