Where are you guys getting the figures showng that Console games are beating PC games in sales? I cant seem to find it. All I am seeing is that Consoles hardware, portable handhelds, console games, handheld games and accessories are getting around $12 billion sales and PC games (not including digital downloads, subcriptions, hardware or accessories) are generating $1 billion.
If you included PC hardware sales, and accessories into that figure wouldnt that beat consoles? MMO's generate at least 1-2 billion per year in monthly subsciption and digital downloads? Lets not forget that PC game sales includes tons of little games people buy and pay for online, like various puzzle games. There is online games people pay for like poker? What about all the 3rd party programs some people buy for these games?
Including handhelds, accesories, platform hardware sales into that figure is ridiculous. How are you going to compare the two figures. Its all these extra things and platforms that are generating all the sales and not the actual console games. Then when you figure that console games are broke into different manufacturers? When you consider you can only release a game on one platform the PC outsells any individual platform game hands down.
If a game like WoW wanted to capture the most people wouldnt they release on a PC and not a console? Seems the PC has the bigger playerbase. Also I read that Gears of War sold 2mil units worldwide? Not very big compared to Sims and WoW? So the most popular Console game is getting 100mil? WoW is getting 50x2.4 mil units in 1 day and 10mil x $15 which is $220 mil + $100ish mil per month? So thats means best selling console games is making about 1/15 the top PC game?

I am not saying Console games are not equaling or possibly beating PC games but I want to see the actual real comparison figures first. Because as it stands, it seems pc games are winning.
