I personally cant wait for AoC to be released, this seems like a much better game than VG simply for RTC.
Anyway, my question is how is loot distributed in this game?
Will it be EQ style in which every enemy will have loot?
Or DDO style which only instanced chests have loot?
I prefer the old camping, every creature has loot style... I think games are ruined that introduce bind on acquire loot.
And what about raids and/or epic encounters?
Just some text for thought.

Everything will have at least a chance of dropping something. But you won't find gold on a wolf, or a steel broadsword on a pict (tribes of protohumans, think Cro-Magnon). All mobs will drop items that you would expect to find on them. Not much has been said about bing on pickup items, but Funcom's style has been that it is extremely rare to find things that are not tradable, and since the best gear is crafted, the best gear is also not bind on pickup
There are two kinds of raids, firstly the classic style usually involving a particularly difficult boss, and secondly sieges upon a PvE keep. Both provide rewards to the victors, mostly in the form of topnotch crafting materials that are very hard to acquire otherwise, but also high end gear that is only slightly less effective than its well made craftable counterpart.
No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

Before I read the 2 or 3 Conan Stories with Picts I noticed there was some kind of controversy over this. I didn't read any of it and can't remember if I saw it here or the main AoC forums but picts were almost definately and completely modeled on Native Americans. Obviously these were Native Americans as most Urban White People saw them in the very early 20th century but without a doubt Native Americans.
