I am unsure whether MMORPG.com higher-ups has got a chance to view this thread, but they need to make a comment about Colton's rants. MMORPG.com supported this moron with promises of a new "professonial" team, good characters and great resumes.  You can view that mmorpg.com editatoral on the Thrones of chaos gamelist. Then you gave him a forum, ads and allowed him and his crew to send hatemail and spam the forums. Now, we can final see what his game was all about. This is the final proof of his character and his game.



MMORPG.com should have known better after the whole mourning fascio and all the eviedence of the lack of creditions behind LoudAnt. Instead, MMORPG.com was a group of cowards that were paid to keep their mouth shut. I demand that MMORPG.com comes out with a press release with a full apology to all members of this site for supporting Colton and  Thrones of Chaos. You facilitated his behavior and game.....

Thrones of Chaos is gone. the old game "mourning" has once again been sold to a diffrent company. Thrones of Chaos doesn't exist anymore, and should be removed from this website Imo.

As I've already stated in another thread, Colton is using the mmorpg.com site to facilitate acts of  harassment, stalking, and threats. It would only seem reasonable that mmorpg.com respond to this by using any and all legal means at their disposal, as well as support and aid any  victims of Colton Burgess's attacks as far as the victims own filings against Colton are concerned. I am one of the most vocal in defense of this site and how it's run because I have a great appreciation for the things mmorpg.com provides as far as gaming activities and a focal point for the mmorpg genre to gather as a community.



However, there were a great number of protestations against Colton/ToC being allowed here from the community, including myself, from the beginning. We knew this was the way it would end, the same as all the Mourning incarnations before it. I understand mmorpg.com tried to be impartial and had to give the benefit of the doubt due to nothing concrete being known as far as evidence showing ToC to be a farce. Well, now the doubt is gone. And the attacks on this community, the MMORPG.COM community, have begun. We need to know what's going to be done, and we need to know soon.

i dont really care whos the idiot that bought ToA (if anyone) or what happens to it from now on, but this Colton has proven to be a total asshole and anything but professional developer. He deserves to get his name put into dirt.

I hope he loses a potential future customer or two that way.

I've got a good idea for spreading that word, paade. I think everyone, especially those being threatened, should alert their local news media, particulrly CBS, ABC, NBC, and FOX affiliates. Let's see how Colton does with some good, old fashioned bad publicity both in AND out of the mmorpg realm. There ain't nowhere to hide when the newshounds are after ya

Permanently ban Colton from these forums in all of his incarnations and remove TOC from the site so that he doesn't have a venue to continue his criminal behavior. This would be in the best interest of mmorpg.com from a legal perspective and would prevent mmorpg.com from being involved in any of Colton's schemes.

I believe I read somewhere, and I could be mistaken, that Loud Ant Software doesn't even exist.



Nonexistent companies can't make money. I could be wrong, but I'd say it sounds like someone's just lying, in a poor attempt to save face.

Ya know, Derek Smart was the cause of many a flamewar (and boy were they epic!). The short of it was that people don't like ego.



I happen to like ego, as it tends to lead to more interesting projects.  Labors of love that break the mold, like ADOM(I love roguelikes), Notrium, or Mount & Blade don't come out of corporate logic factories, they come from egoists looking to create something.



Now, reading back through all the history on this fiasco(as well as the nasty emails at krelslibrary.org- very interesting), I'm a bit peeved. I'm gonna hafta go revise my years-old theories on ego and innovation.



Speaking of which, just realized how much I'm ranting. Think i'll make a thread about "labors of love"(or the lack thereof) in the MMO world, tomorrow, to restore my faith in the gaming industry. Neocron MIGHT showcase some of those qualities, so we'll see.

He has been banned, for a few days now.  Regardless of who you are you get the same actions against your account for violating our rules.  Apparently we had some issues with our temp ban system, but it should be fixed now and he cannot post here.

For the record we find the actions of Colton very dissapointing and we are still deciding on our end how we wish to proceed with LoudAnt and Thrones of Chaos in regards to MMORPG.com.  Frankly this behavior is shocking.

I'm having a hard time understanding why anyone is even interested in this tired, old rubbish.  I really doubt anyone hired an investigator.  The stuff they dug up is easy to find.  They did nothing you and I can't do.  I really doubt this bloke has made enough money off of a broken, dreadful looking game to even buy himself a copy of someone else's game.  Even if he did, I doubt his credibility in this, or nearly any legit business, is in tatters.  I don't think he'll be doing anything that can make the slightest difference to us in the future.  In such a big world, does anyone really care about what happens to this one little person?
