I havent played vanguard, but by looking at the graphics, it might be safer to get a 512 card.

Dude, that rig is more than enough to run Vanguard. A 512 card is not needed, but can't hurt. With what you listed you will be able to set your graphics pretty high if you don't cheap out on the mother board. Gotta go play now....

So, basically what you are saying is that RAM owns everything when it comes to performance in Vanguard? Because Im running Van on 3ghz, 256mb x800 vid card, and only 1gb ram, and im getting 1-4 fps outside, 11 when away from others players, and 5 inside houses. At this state I can't play the game...will 2gb ram save me?

I've played Vanguard on two computers; a laptop and a desktop.

    Desktop:
    AMD 2600+
    1GB RAM
    120GB ATA 100 7200
    GeForce 6800 GS OC 256MB

    Laptop:
    Intel Centrino Duo T2500
    2GB RAM
    100GB SATA 7200
    ATI x1400 512MB

    Yet the desktop runs better.

    so...

My comp is a lot worse than yours and I run Vanguard on the setting right below balanced.  I can do balanced for about 7 fps up tp 15 in some spots.

So either turn your settings down or clean all those trojans off your computer from the all the pr0n you downloaded.
