REVIEW ON RUNESCAPE

OK ive seen many people say runescape sucks because of its graphics but your all forgeting something THE GRAPHICS ISNT THE MAIN POINT OF A GAME. The main point of a game is how fun it is. okay graphics do play a role but wats the point of playing a game with graphics that look human like when the game is flat out boring. anyways back to runescape. I have been playing the game for almost 4 years and its still the best in my books. ok the graphics suck and the sound is a bit retarted but the game is fun. all i do is listen to music while i play. The service of the game is probably one of the best the mods are nice and if u lose or forget ur password your shouldnt worry. The community is amazing i mean i have so many freinds and i talk to them all the time we go do things in game together and i never get bored. the makers of the game (jagex) always bring new stuff in so the game always has new stuff to do.

THE BEST PART IS RUNESCAPE IS FREE AND IS PLAYED RITE OFF THE INTERNET BROWSER!! IF u wish to have a premium account like i have you can pay by all kinds of ways so you are never left out. and yes a members account is much much better.

You must be young just like the community itself, not only is the community annoying and rude but the graphics don't have anything to do why people hate this game. It's plain out the community that makes and breaks this game.

only the f2p community stinks and p2p is amazing just i bet people havent tryed the pay service thats ware the games good.

No, p2p community stinks almost as much as f2p kids. Runescape is only a shadow of what it once was (RSClassic), community&gameplay wise. Combat is better though, I give them that.

It's a good option for a MMORPG only if your computer is 10+ years old.

Forget about the graphics and that it is in the browser. Those things go hand in hand. People don't like RuneScape because of its mechanics and content as much as anything else.
1) Point and click interface.
2) No in game support to form any kind of group at all.
3) Not really any group content except for PVP ganking a max level mob.
4) Hideous grind that is pretty unrewarding for time invested.
5) Grinding the skills themselves involves watching the character do animations without input.
6) Combat is almost purely auto-attack and heal/potion spamming.
7) Skills are effectivelly all self contained linear grinds, no character complexity or skill customization is possible.
8) Because of the no grouping, and because of the way skills work, the incentive to work together at tradeskills is highly dubious and there is absolutely no reason to want to group for combat. The game not only fails to support cooperation it virtually punishes it.

I was P2P for about 4 months and during that time I watched the community go from very good to slightly better than F2P.

I did the P2P this summer and I liked it. I think the only thing that kept me playing longer was the fact that I had some good friends from school playing with me, and we had our own TS server and we'd talk crazy shit and mingle..whatever.

First thing I did in RS was turn off the chat. The Teamspeak server was enough for chat...and it was good times. Good skill-based stuff.

Ive been an epic RS gamer for 2 years and just quit. it was the only game that Ive really trully been able to stay with. I would have to say that the reason i played it for so long is that there is alot of members and there is so much more to do then just grind mobs all day. Most people complain about mmorpgs having to much grinding and thats why i couldent get into them eather. I enjoy fletching 2kyews just for the hell of it. I enjoy fishing just for the hell of it. I enjoy cooking just for the hell of it and so on. I play it just because everything in it isnt always based around combat. Im not saying you guys are rong in your beleifs but i enjoy this game. This is my opinion

I had a fun time playing a few years ago before it got as popular as it is now, but there's really nothing there for me now. Their customer service is probably one of the worst I've ever seen, and the community is filled with scammers and people looking to send you keyloggers so they can take your items. If you're looking for a game with a good, honest community, look elsewhere.

The banks are now protected by pins (you click the screen to enter it) so getting keylogged wont make you loose anything now. But honestly i have no simpathy for people who get keylogged in any game.

The community is what you make of it... if you spend all ur time as a noob in noob areas you will be surrounded by ... noobs. If you however, research good training spots you will find that you are no longer mining ores with noobs in the mining guild but mining ores in low lvl wildy (which is faster btw) with no one else to bug you... and instead of lets say killing lvl 1 chickens for a month you could train in the gaurd house or black knight castle, 2 areas wich are also always empty...

The player community is split into 2 groups, those that use runescapecommunity.com forums and those that dont. People who use the 3rd party site are the maturer clan oriented people, and people who use the official forum are the crybaby noob types.

Basically you pick which community you want to be apart of.

I dont like people who bash the community because if you dont like someone there are 100 other servers you can log out and hop into (you player is not tied to a server). And as long as you stick with the 3rd party site you will never deal with trade scammers ect.
