Patch download speed, which is faster?

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes
I bought the Pre-Release disc of Vanguard at EBgames yesterday. From what it looks like a lot of people (including myself) who bought the DVD version of the pre-release are exeperiencing heavy download problem. Right now, my game folder is at 13.6gb and counting. What I'm wondering is that if I get the digital-download version of Vanguard, is there going to be less amount of patch I have to download where as the 7GB download for disc version. Because I am downloading the digital-download version of Vanguard right now from SOE (700KB/Sec) website. Let me hear from you if you bought the digital-download version. I'm not talking about the download speed of the digital-download, but the patching after you install the game.

    Well, I patched directly from SOE, and it took me 2 days, lol.



    Total is at 16GB. Not sure which build the digital download is at, there are patches daily, but they are more in the range of 5MB or so.

    So I guess at your current stage, it doesn't matter.

    D2D took about 6 hours on friday, dunno what it's gonna be like now with the patches they've released though.  Hope that helps.

    From what I've seen so far, I saw people say that the saturday's patch was about 100MB. Since I have so far downloaded 4.6GB after installing the CD, my guess is that direct-download contains more files then the DVD itself.

    Well, Im at 9.88gb, luckily everything is compressed, but then again I wonder what compression ratio's they get with the launcher, maybe 20-30%, so that said its another 5GB .

    I get worried with these big downloads because I'm on Orange Unlimited which is well unlimited bandwidth download but with 'fair usage' policy whatever that means!!!
