alright peeps! just want to know how my pc will handle the game! im sure alot of people have asked. but whats one more right? heh OK! here is my system NOW!

2.96gig processor.

Raedion 1600, 512mb

2gigs, DDR, PC 4000 RAM

(my systems sound also goes off for no apparent reason.. when im running a program that uses sound. somtimes it works sometimes it dont.

AND MY NEW SYSTEM. that i want to build in about a week or two. tell me how good THIS will run vanguard also. (again i want to try and run it on full...

1.86ghz DUO processor. which equals around 3.2gig

EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 640mb

2Gigs of Duel Channel DDR2, PC 8500 RAM

also getting a new motherboard MADE for the video card. with the same speed as the RAM. so it will be perfect for eachother.

also getting 2 hard drives linked together my computer can read things from the HD's faster.

this system will cost me about $1.500 WITH NEW fans, to keep this beast cool, and a new power supply. which is 700watts.. which i think i need to change to 1000watts... gah which is another 200 dollars lol. but yeah. please tell me if that will play on full. if it dont i may have to get another 8800 GAH! i dont want to do that lol

First rig ... probably not with that video card.

    Your new rig... definitely.

You might want to consider just upgrading your video card on your first box. Looks like you can do it for under $220.

    I run a P4 2.8ghz

ATI Radeon x1950 512MB AGP 8X (Sapphire brand)

    2Gig DDR PC 3200 RAM

And it runs smooth at full  in the wild and stutters occasionally in town.  I blame that on my AGP interface.

yeah but the thing is. MINE is AGP also. and if i was gonna get a new video card. id want PCI. in order to do that i need a new MOBO. and if i am gonna get a new MOBO i want to get DDR2. lol so it all adds up =/sucks though gah. just got this system about a year ago.

I was in the same boat... But with AMD's new processor line and Vista coming out, not to mention the fact that DX10 is just around the corner.  I decided to spend  $200 bucks and extend the life of my system for another 12-24 months instead of committing over 2 grand on a new box during this transition period.

that actually sounds better... im not QUITE sure what im gonna do yet. gotta find a GOOD card in agp... and then the fact that AGP is slow. gah. i dont know. i mean if i got this new system. it would be 2-3 years before i had to update. and when i do. id just buy another 8800 and add that and call it good ya know? lol

True.  The 8800 will support DX10, once you upgrade to VISTA and the box should see you into the year 2009.

But if you do decide to upgrade your AGP 8X card... here is a link to the fastest one on the market today...
