    Pirates of the Burning See? But PotBS offers not a lot more, and sometimes i think to myself, it become rather useless, when you can do in Darkfall all things of PotBS, but even a lot more. IMHO, of course.

    While Darkfall's graphics are a bit archaic compared to other offerings on the horizon, if the gameplay is solid, it should be a blast.  Regardless, I wouldn't be so quick to condemn Pirates of the Burning Sea.  I unabashedly guarantee you that the ship to ship combat in PotBS makes the naval warfare in the DF video look silly.  In addition, they postponed release to include avatar combat, so that means boarding parties and face to face combat.  I'm sure you'll find PotBS to have a great deal of depth, possibly even more so than DF.  None-the-less, I'll be trying both.

    Thanks for the link. I am glad they put this out there and it actually looked like it was actual in-game footage and not some video made like WAR's. I think this game should be ready for players to play Beta sometime soon. We already know from their website that they are in a internal Beta right now.

    It's good to finally see some rock hard proof that there is actually a game out there somewhere and not vapor.  Hopefully we will get to see a lot more updates like this.  At least I finally have a bone to throw to my guild.

    Dude they made DARK AND LIGHT look good in vids + screens. I won't call anything solid proof untill there's a BETA.



    I like it when they don't set a release date. It points out that there is still lots of time for polishing and improovments. Than to have a set timeframe to work within.



    Whatever that video I just saw displayed it pretty much summed up the very perfect game I want to play. So somebody better GIVE IT TO ME if they have the guts to show it in a video like this one hehehe.

    Yeah, from what little you can see in the video it looks like they are doing some neat things with ships.

    The ship combat looks kinda crappy, but still really really fun!

    You can't expect state of the art physics to go hand in hand with MMO/full PvP anyway.

    Great video, I would have liked to see some archery though.

    Haven't followed the game, but that stuff did look unique and fun.

    The video looked pretty good. There are so many things shown that people who don't follow Df closely will not get but the biggest thing about the video for me was more about what is not there. There has been endless talk about Darkfall vs war. Compare the recent Darkfall video to war's combat video and the most noticeable difference is all the flashing lights, markers and childish spell effects. Thank god there is a game coming out that is not made to keep the attention of a three year old with blinky lights! Maybe people will finally come to the realization that Darkfall is aimed a breed of gamer looking for more cake and less icing

    This game has never been vaporware... Everytime it gets close to a release date another game just releases that Darkfall would rather learn from than compete with.

    The Darkfall team simply does not want to release a #2 game, they want to be the best! And with their patience and understanding of what players really want in an MMORPG they'll have that.

    Even if they have to ignore the bickering of forum children crying about it.

    Darkfall could of released 2 years ago.. But why release a game when other games have you beat in certain areas when instead you can just learn from that and make your game the best?

    The video was incredible. Of course Darkfall isn't completely playable yet, but it seems the combat system at least is working great at the moment. What they are doing with ship to ship combat looks rather interesting as well. Boarding other vessels and commadeering ships will be fun as hell!

    Of course I'm gonna be the one crafting them instead of the one sinking within them.

    This video shows the same regurgitated stuff they have been releasing forever. If you look at all the old screenshots released months ago this is EXACTLY the SAME stuff in months old screens. A bunch of people running around swinging weapons with outdated graphics.
