Me and my friend picked it up at gamestop yesterday, got home and started installing,. When we got to play we were amazed, the races, the customization, even the music .
I made a vulmane on the ffa pvp server and after it loaded up, i couldn't believe how nice everything looked. This game definitely gave me a good first impression.
When i got to the crafting stuff, it was pretty interesting. It took me awhile to fully get it, when you cut trees down, they actually fall over lol.
After i got a few skills, the combat was really rad. I got a sweet finishing move with an awesome animation. My vulmane dreadknight swings his mace around his back and pummels the target. I dueled somebody when i got to level 5 to see what it is like. It was really fun using all my skills against a player, was an epic low level battle -_-.
I have played a TON of mmorpg's, but i haven't had this much fun in a long time. Although i did only get to level 6, i can't wait to see the rest of the game. Especially owning a house or ship.

Ah, i don't really have sense of what is expensive in this game yet, but hopefully i can afford it eventually =/
Yeah houses are for the rich, or for higher level characters. The most basic house needs tier 2 stuff so its like 20th+
I brought one in beta and it was expensive to buy the plot and expensive to build the house, I would guess around 30th-40th is a good idea to invest in one.
Now playing: VG (after a long break from MMORPGS)
Played for more than a month: Darkfall online, Vanguard SOH, Everquest, Horizons, WoW, SWG, Everquest II, Eve

The unit of currency is copper. At level 6, I was overjoyed to see quests which paid out 1 silver (which = 100 copper). Right now I have 20 silver and I feel pretty rich. it takes 100 silver to equal one gold. So ya, houses are for higher level characters
Luckily, i don't need you to like me to enjoy video games. -nariusseldon.
In F2P I think it's more a case of the game's trying to play the player's. -laserit
They added more rocks to the game ? Does that mean more mining nodes ? Maybe even more greedy ass dwarves with helmet flash-lights.
