I am very annoyed with Blizzard. After two years, they finaly come out with an expansion pack. I will admit, I love the new Draenei race added, the Outland, the new items, and the new proffession. However, they could've added more. Instead, they spent their wealth of money on a god damned card game. The amount of money they make in subscription fees, you think they could re-pay the community with more content more events on a regular bases. Nope, instead I go to Futureshop and see a card game advertised. I think that is just plain dumb, it's as bad as the World of Warcraft Board game -- we don't need one!

Everything has a card game now its just how the world spins, course they only made the card game popular by offering special mounts if you found certain cards.    With the board game its different its...good its fun it takes all the really good parts of the mmo and puts them together.  Its actually really cool and Extremely popular with the board game community.   I don't think there's anything wrong with them spreading their property into different mediums, they've been doing it for years with Pen and Paper games and books for all their different IP's (cept star craft I dont think they did much with it outside of the pc games)

Last time i checked, Blizzard does NOT produce the card game. Upper Deck entertainment does.

Do you really think that this card game company comes to you and ask for the license for doing stuff based on your name and offer to pay lots of dollars and you, what? just refuse??

now CCP, those are greedy bastards as they PRODUCE their own card game. corporate whores!!!!! /joke

Really, if you bothered by such silly things, simply ignore and don't buy them, what is the big fuss?

For your informations, many popular mmorpgs and videogames series often have a number of offshots. Everquest has its own rpg, so does everquest II and WoW. Soon EVE will have it too. Conan has its own rpg also. Many japanese console games have animated series or are made off animated series.

EVE has its card game, so does marvel heroes... and dc heroes.. .and mechwarrior.... and cthulhu....and harry freacking potter... and the lord of the rings...... and star wars....and warhammer fantasy.....and warhammer 40k.....and buffy vampire slayer....and dozens others i forgot.

Wake up! we live in the world of MULTImedia!!

But why are you frustrated about the card game and the board game? It's not like you're forced to buy neither of them.



It's a very smart move by blizzard and both games have high qualities. It's a brave move to try to reach the card game audience aswell to get them addicted to the warcraft universe. The same can be said about the board game industry.
