confusion about pvp

Hey i was wondering if there was only pvp on the ffa pvp server. or is there pvp on the regular pve severs but faction vs faction or what? please explain what each server gets

there are different types of servers
FFA PvP - what it says on the box, Free for all PvP everyone can kill each other
RvR PvP servers - you can kill other members of the opposite faction but not your own
PvE - no pvp bar duels
ffa pvp is just that; Free For All. If you can talk to them, you can kill them - hack and slash away.
team pvp; two teams fighting it out. Not continent vs continent, but rather certain races against other. Don't have the list in my head right now, but you can find it here with some apropriate searching.
PvE; not 100% sure if there are any battle fields, but I have yet to see any - or even hear of any. My guess is that there are none so far, at least. As for Arenas - I have no idea, I'm afraid.
Team PvP (and ffa, I think - am i wrong?) has a min level of 7 for players to be valid targets. you can attack anyone above min level, no matter what level difference - however if the difference exceeds 20% you will not get any XP, fame or loot.

Usually I don't answer posts when I am not absolutely certain, but at this point in time too few people are both certain and right... so I figured better an answer that might be a bit off in the details than no answer at all.
