I really do think Jack's sig says it all...

Maybe so, but I just haven't seen any posts from Jack personally attacking anyone -- none that I can recall anyway.  He's made several valid points.  Instead of debating these points, it seems far easier to say he's a "hater" (stupid term, but for lack of a better word, it'll do).  If Jack's information is wrong, I would like to hear why it's wrong.  Don't tell me about Jack.  Tell me about the game.

Human nature: No one likes to be wrong.

This is why people 'clump' and form cliques and groups. Smokers congregate, Ford owners hate Chevy owners, Nvidia vs. ATI, Mac vs. PC...

We're standing in the middle of the V:SoH clique on the forum, and wrong-thinking is punishable by swift and painful flaming.

    Hello !

I didn't beta Vanguard... Does this game worth $ 49.90 and a monthly fee ?

Or should I wait for 1 or 2 years to buy it for $ 29.90 or $ 19.90 and get a "2 hours of patch dwnload" game that IS playable and full of players ?

By the way, I wouldn't like to drive a car without wheels and a broken left glass

You will get a great number of opinions on that.

    I'll let you decide:

    1) Do you have a really good computer setup?

    2) Are you more into wandering and looking at the world than questing and combat?

    3) Are you a patient person?

    4) Do you have a spare $50 to blow on something you might not like?

If you answered 'yes' to these questions than I'd suggest getting a copy and seeing for yourself.

Otherwise, watch the forums and wait a few weeks or so. One thing I will say for Sigil is they're on the ball and have designed the game to allow them to fix and impliment things quickly. It's possible the game will be, in my humble opinion, RC1 or maybe even GM in as little as 30 days.

    Rofl...

I dunno about the 'free trial' though, production costs on 2 DVDs is kinda high and no sane person *wants* to download a 6.6 gig game that they can only play for 2 weeks or so.

Bingo! Give it another month or so when they get hit with a retention loss after peoples initial 30 days free is up. I am wagering that they will not have a great retention. They will have no choice but to offer up a special or drastically reduce the box price. To bad too, this will really hurt Sigil in the long run. They will be forced to take it from behind by SoE...
