These are extreme cases with people playing up to 15 hours a day and more. And it in no way reflects the time the avarage playerbase uses to get to the max lvl.

Contrary to what some are saying, feel free to enjoy the game anyway you want to. If you want to power level, fine, do it. If you prefer to enjoy the game at a casual pace, great.

Personally, I would rather not rush through everything. I would prefer to level at my own pace. The problem often arises that you or your friends are leveling faster and so you begin to lose interest so everyone tries to keep up with the fastest player and in the end, it becomes a power level grind fest until you're done. Then you start the high level grind for gear... new MMO, rinse and repeat. So, play how you will, but choose your friends carefully.

    so...

In eq I could get a 50 in one week. It's been done millions and millions of times. When they increased the level cap, someone got to 60 in a day. I played, i saw it with my own eyes so don't bs me and tell me i'm lying.

I played EQ for years and yes you could get PLed to 50 in a day or two easy, or could do it solo twinked. But when it first came out or when starting on a brand new server when all you have is player made banded mail and a Rune Totem Staff it was alot different. Plus in the beginning there were no easy teleports all over and had to auctally explore new zones.

I will never forget running from Halas to Freeport the first time and the hours it took to do so. But thats the difference between then and the mindset of most games now where its level level level and no content or incentive to auctally take your time, explore the zones and build a good community of players along the way. Games have become so end game orientated and over simplified that any 8 year old can play. And the maturity level of the coomunities on games like WoW are the results.

    Peace...to the level master, mua.

    you're full of crap.

it took most of the day when kunark came out before there was a game wide message about the first person to hit lvl 51, so keep you lying mouth shut.
