I know this is odd... but I'm just wondering why people troll BC, saying "It's still the same game as it always has been they didn't change anything." My question is that of all the MMO's you ever played that changed the game to the point of almost no recognation of the original game? I personally feel it's good to stick with the basics. Add things but never change the game play.

Because people think it makes you more mature and apparently more knowledgable to bash WOW. Its amazing what lengths people will go to, trying to convince people not to play it or buy it. These people normally come from all those adult MMORPG out there. Eve, wink, nod, nudge, nudge. Its quite sad. TBC is certainly more of the same...only much, much better, which is why so many people bought it. If you can't see improvements in the quests, the new starter areas and the dungeons, you're oblivious or just lying. Why? Start at the top again=)
Even the MMORPG.com staff dislikes the game. Look at the biased reviews and previews MMORPG.com passes off as wisdom. Look at how long TROLL posts last on the WOW boards then go look at how quickly they're locked up on the Eve board. Its so pathetic.

So you must say WoW is good?

And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is ******* vampires! "
People trash BC for many reasons, and some are valid. Here are some I believe:
1. Was very expensive for an expansion. This is even considering the trial DVD of the actual game is a few bucks, which kind of baits people into buying the expansion.
2. Not much content was added. It almost feels like a delayed game update. There are numerous people already touching 70 within the first few weeks. I even heard rumor of some guy doing it in 28 hours with the help of his guild. The new areas aren't that impressive, and most of it feels like they pushed it out the door. This is just personal opinion, but I doubt they put much time into making the expansion. Entirely, it was a last ditch effort to get money before WoW got old.
Anyway, these are just my opinions, and I'm sure you have your own.
Well, I only played WoW till level 50 but my bro plays it every night. I was thinking about picking it up again with the expansion, but I didnt, because I really wasnt impressed with it.
Not all MMORPGs release amazing expansions that add substaintial gameplay, but they at least add something. Typically you get to see a new class introduced with a full expansion. WoW added two new races... I guess I can understand why some people enjoy having a variety of races, but personally having multiple races seems like a waste of time to me, so this was a real slap in the face... Especially because one of the races were blood elves, which are elves who arent purple... What is that? A texture change? Some new hair styles? It just seems like a cheap form of character customization for me.
There are two things that I really noticed the expansion adding... The first is the arena, which I was lead to believe would be in WoW at launch thanks to screenshots and descriptions of the 'arena' at stranglethorn vale. It was a good addition, but I had already found guildwars to be much more fun in arena combat, and since GW relies so heavily on quick thinking, strategy, and team cooperation, I just dont see how the WoW arena could ever compete for someone like me. Then there are flying mounts, which you can only use in the new areas and no doubt cost a fortune. I was already planning on trying vanguard, and vanguard has flying mounts too, except the flying mounts in vanguard seem a little more practical since it will be more difficult to get around the world in that game than in WoW. I think after hearing how much the flying mounts will cost, I was pretty much completely put off from the idea.
So theres always new quests and such, but thats not much, and they come with a terrible price, which is the level cap increase. I couldnt help feel bad for my bro who has put in months and months of sitting through long boring raids to get his character the best gear... Now WoW is having a level cap increase. So I check in with him a few days after BC's release, and sure enough, hes already deleted all those uber gear items that took him so much time to get. He had replaced them with cheapy level 65 stuff. He is now at level 70, and no doubt repeating most of the same raids to get the 'new' level 70 uber gear. That is just sad. I've never been big on games based so heavily on item hunting, and this situation is yet another reason why.
So that last part really put me over the hill, and now theres pretty much no chance of me ever playing BC. Its sad too, because Blizzards last 5 games have all had an expansion, and those expansions have really added to each game, making it perfect. BC doesnt do that for WoW. I'm curious to see if Blizzard releases more expansions for WoW- I think it would be sensable for them to do so, but they have a history of releasing only 1 expansion for their RTS and Online RPGs (starcraft, warcraft 1, 2, 3, diablo 1,2)... Actually I think warcraft II had 2 expansions :-o I'm not sure if they were both official though.
